About BOLT - Beacon of Light Timer

BOLT is designed for holy paladins, will help you to keep up the Beacon of Light and Judgements of the Pure spells/effects.

Features:

  • Beacon of Light and Judgements of the Pure trackers(working)
  • Auto hide function when spells or talents are not available(untested)
  • Button focus: save an independent focus target for each button and right click to re-cast the spell on your saved target(working)
  • Real time duration check: if your buff get removed the countdown will stop with a sound alarm(working)
  • Customizable sound and flash alerts(working)
  • Button scaling, drag&drop, pin/unpin, custom alpha level(working)
  • Auto hide when not in combat(Untested)
  • Russian localization(untested)
  • Lightweight (100Kb) and non intrusive

Controls:

  • SHIFT - Doubleclick to Pin/Unpin a Button on the screen
  • CTRL - Doubleclick to set up a target as focus for BOL

Notes:

If you have had a previous version of BOLT I recommend you delete your BOLT.LUA file(s) in your WTF folder. This corrects some issues regarding the Sacred Shield spell the addon used to monitor as SS has not been entirely coded out yet.

    Hi, First Thank you very much for this nice addon. It is a great help for me in healing raids. Soon I start playing as retri too and I would love to see Inquisition added to the BoL and JotP. I think the only problem will be the talent who increase the duration of Inquisition in retri tree :S. Thank you in advance and I hope you will keep this great addon alive :).

    Delete your BOLT.lua in your WTF folder.

    I looked at the code, the fix looked pretty simple, there is a bool which is flagged true when the addons are loaded. But the buttons are not loaded till it recieves the talents changed boolean. So I moved the bool to into the talent changed bit and no more error.

    the variable was moved from where it was to

    function BOLT.events.VARIABLES_LOADED( addon )

    addonLoadedDone = true;

    to rid the error disable swatter in your addons. I have been made aware of this error and a few more and this is the only fix for now.

    For those people who are getting an error on log in, you can disable swatter which will work around the issue.

    As for fixing the problem rather then avoiding it I am looking at pieces of the code and think it is almost easier to rewrite and remove pieces, subsequently I may remove the UI frame altogether as I have NO idea how blizzard or for that fact LBO writes the options UI Into the menu.

    For now(or up until I rebuild my UI tonight) I am convinced this is a great addon for Holy paladins as I raid through the new cata raids.

    Addon unloads itself when entering the game because char is under level 60, but with current talent trees you get Beacon around level 40.

    how do you bring up the options? I did "** BOLT CONFIGURATION **
    From WoW hit the ESC key, select the INTERFACE option and then the ADDONS tab.
    From the list on the right panel select BOLT and you will see the BOLT option panel." and nothing... I even typed /bolt help and all i got was "bolt ver 1.61"
