About BossTactics

BossTactics improves and simplifies explaining boss tactics in World of Warcraft.

Development Has Restarted

Knetik (aka Czarknetik) has taken over this addon in an attempt to keep it going. This has been a great addon that has helped many guilds to simplify fight strategies and setups.

Sorontur's final statement before handing it off

After over 5 years of WoW, it is time for me to end my time ingame. It was really a great time, raiding with so many friends and achieving so much.
Cataclysm is really not what WoW used to be, so this is a good point to stop this. But this also means, that i will not continue my work on BossTactics.
I put really much effort in it and I hope you have had lots of benefits. I tried it in 4.2 and there where no lua exceptions for me, so maybe you can use it for a while until Blizzard again changes the complete API. Maybe someone likes to continue the work, feel free to do so, just send me a message on curse and i will grant you permissions.
So this is my good bye to you! Have a good time in Firelands.

Localization

If someone likes to add language support to BossTactics you can post the locales here: http://www.wowace.com/addons/boss-tactics/localization/. The strategy texts are too big for this feature so there it cannot be used.

    Just so you are aware (it may be some code you don't actually use in it) but LibBabble-Zone-3.0 has problems. I have copied the beta from wowace over that folder in all my addons that use it (including yours) and can now get in the game so incase anyone complains of game freezes, you'll know why Smile

    Dude, do u have any mirror page to download WotLK Pack? They would really help me explaining tactics for ICC xD people is pretty dumb in most of the raids. Thank you very much :D

    hello,
    i've downloaded bosstactics v 3.5.3 and the firelands module, newest version available on curse. BUT wenn i start wow and look into my list of addons before you login with a char it tells me that these both addons are outdated and i shall look for the newest version.. it's correctly installed,i've checked erverything i could think of, should be fine, still it doesn't work

    They are updated now. Understand that if Blizzard makes a change then it may take a few days for me to get the addon updated. Sometimes even longer if I don't notice it.

    hello knetik , i stopped using bosstactic some time ago cuz lots of English tactics where missing from the module's ( more tbc and classic wow but still ) soruntur was aware of that and said he would never translate it from the standard german version ( i guess he's german lol ) , also some where missing like kharazan , so basically wondering if your development of the addon will be different ? :)

    Sorry for the delayed response, curse wasn't allowing me to log. I will only be doing these in English as that is the only language I know. I have no plans to go back and put in old content. I will be attempting to just work on keeping this addon going and getting the modules done for whatever the current raid content is.

    A module is currently available, but it is not completed as of yet. Only a few of the strats are in and most of the dots are not setup correctly. I'm working on getting that finished asap.

    Are there any tactics ready for the cata5man? cause I installed the addon but nothing shows up on the main frame. Am I doing smth wrong? I have installed both the main addon and the cata5man off course.

    First and only add-on... I too get nothing for 5-man instances (after installing the 5-man pack). No error messages. Just commenting in case there is a question about interference from other add-ons.
