About Brilly's Pet Box

If you love your companions, you definately need this addon!

Written by Endeavour for Brilly (both from EU Arthas)

Features
  • You no longer need the Blizzard companion chooser
  • Ingame Database of all 153 companions
  • Animated, zoomable and rotateable 3D models
  • Filter options (Show only companions you own / show all companions)
  • Favourites list (right-click to add / remove from list)
  • Notepad (store notes for every pet like where it drops / which faction to grind reputation etc)
  • Summon random companion from favourites list
How to use

Have a look at the 3rd screenshot, most functions are explained there

Click on the minimap button or type /bpb an then click on:

  • Top left corner to open the options menu
  • Top right corner to open the favourites list
  • Bottom right corner to open a notepad
  • Bottom left corner to summon a random pet from the favourites list
  • Left-Click on a companion's button: Set 3D model to that companion
  • Right-Click on a companion's button: Add / remove from favourites list
  • Shift-Click on a companion's button: Gray it out
  • Move the horizontal slider in order to rotate the 3D model
  • Move the vertical slider in order to zoom the 3D model

Green companion button = you own that companion

Purple companion button = Companion is on favourites list

Still looking for French, Spanish and Russian translators. If you are a native speaker feel free to contact me, as I would love to see a GUI in those languages.

v2.91: - Fixed a bug causing the frame not to be movable. Drag the main menu's title bat around using your left mouse button in order to move the frame. - As some people asked, the main frame can be resized in the options menu. Click on the upper left corner of the main frame in order to get there.

v2.9: - Updated for 4.0.1 - Still looking for French, Spanish and Russian translators. If you are a native speaker feel free to contact me

v2.8: - I've written a nice little tool in C# which will autogenerate Data.lua and all localized language files by parsing wowhead... - Added Spanish, French and Russian language files. Pets are translated but I need some native speakers for the translation of the interface. - New companions added, for example Mini Thor v2.6: - Added Lil'XT from the Blizzard Store v2.5: - Right click on minimap button summons random pet from favourites (user requested feature)

    So just to clarify, when you say notes as to where it drops, do you mean like Gatherer and how it marks where you gather things? Will it mark on the map or on a map within the addon as to where you picked the pet up from, like the Hatchlings or some such?

    notes means that you can note something down for yourself, the addon itself does not provide any information on how to get companions.

    Hi there, great addon, just perfect for the companion collectors.

    It doesn't look like Deathy the murloc from BlizzCon 2010 is in here yet. :( I'll have to just keep him on my bar until he is.

    I'd also like to re-request adding mount functionality. I already use GoGoMount but if I could have the functionality of both in one it's one less thing to have installed. Thanks for the hard work!

    This is great, nice and sleak interface. I do have one question. I currently am using CritterCaller. It summons favorite companions just by moving. Could you incorporate that into your addon?

    I am guessing you would have to add a seperate screen for check boxes and sliders to do this.

    I believe it will work without any problems.
    However, Brilly's Pet Box already has a random companion summoner integrated. Just add some companions to your favourites list and press the lower left button and a random companion of your list will be summoned. Have a look at the 3rd screenshot of Brilly's Pet Box.

    How can I move the box? It's stuck in the lower left side of my screen under sum stuff. Also how can I make the display larger?

    You can move the box by dragging the main title bar around using your left mouse button. You can resize the frame in the options menu - press the upper left corner in order to get there or press escape, go to interface menu, go to tab addons, choose Brilly'S Pet Box, make the box visible and setup your frame scale.
