About Broker_ProfessionsMenu

Broker_ProfessionsMenu is a broker addon for managing your trade skills and trade cooldowns.

  • tracking of trade skills and cooldown timers
  • quick launching of all trade skills via drop down menu or via mouse shortcuts
  • shows in item and recipe tooltips, if one of your characters can craft/enchant this (Supports Atlasloot Tooltips)
  • tradeskill frames from all of your characters can be linked to chat or to yourself As of patch 5.4, this is not possible anymore, because blizzard changed the way how trade links work! As a solution I made a custom frame to allow you to view the profession skills of your other characters, but linking to other player via chat is not possible anymore.
  • trainer frame (now you can see everywhere, when your trainer have a new skill)
  • easy and fast mass disenchanting/milling/prospecting (with auto looting)
  • favorite list for quick access of your trade skills
  • creating of separate quick launchers (brokers) for every trade skills (listet as "Launcher: NAME" in your display addon)

  • Broker Display Addon (Titan Panel, Fortress, Chocolate Bar, ...)

Please note

  • On first time you must open all tradeskill frames from every character once to scan for tradeskill links, trade cooldowns and craftable items.
  • Tooltips can not be disabled over the broker display addon, so do this directly in Broker_ProfessionsMenu options (Right Click -> Settings -> Tooltips)

Known Issues

  • Some display addons disables the "OnEnter" event when tooltips are disabled (for example: Bazooka) or when broker buttons are unlocked (Button Bin), but I need this event to overlay an invisible blizzard secure button (without this button, I can't cast profession skills).

how do i remobe the "craftable by" from all my item tooltips?
  • #51
In version 2.1.1, when I right-click the menu to get the Disenchant option list (full of items in my bags) they are no longer color coded, and instead show what appears to be the hex code for green/blue/purple as required. e.g., instead of this text being white:

    Item of Super Awesomeness

    it would show as this:

    ffffItem of Super Awesomeness

version 2.0.4 and 2.0.5 make my wow crash if i press the -all button in a professions menu. Is it possible to fix this?

I know this error, I get a 5sec freeze, if I have Ackis Recipe List installed. I'm already searching for a solution.

    please test

This r93 version fixes it. Thanks for the quick reply!

Could you possibly add option to change which side your trainer window anchors too? I would prefer the window on the left side on the right side. Thanks. Also the Trainer button should have more configuration as to its location because there are other mods that use that spot too however Ackis Recipe List already has options where his button can be placed. Thanks again for the good mod.

I just pushed a dry-coded fix in ARL that should anchor the scan button beside the trainer button.

hi, sorry for my late answer, but in the last two weeks I had written some exams

thanks for your work, but in new beta Version I have moved the button to a better place, so you can remove this pice of code again

in next release version I will include an option to anchor it to the left side

First of all, I find your addon really usefull but I have encountered a problem.
I use Advanced Tradeskill window and when using that I dont see the Trainer button.
Is there any possibility to get the trainer reciept under the LDB menu i.e. right clicking the label for each profession or something like that?
A little bit like Fubars, Profession_FU?

Try opening your tradeskills while holding down shift. I also use the ATSW and that cause it to be overridden so that the profession opens with the default (Blizzard) window. This should help with the Trainer button I would think, but I just installed this addon, so I haven't had a chance to check. Also, just a heads up, not all profession buttons will work with the shift-click ATSW override. I'm pretty sure the buttons on the tab of your spellbook won't work, for instance. Action bar buttons do work though, if I recall correctly, as do a lot of tradeskill-bar addons (I know for certain that TradesBar (the one by "egingell") does, as I use that myself).

Thanx for the tip, I will try that.

Hi, 2.0 version is incompatible with Ackis Recipe List, because they both add a button to the upper-right corner of the profession frame. Would you please disable the trainer feature if ARL is installed, or at least give an option to hide the button? Thanks
