About Broker_TolBarad

About Broker_TolBarad

Broker_TolBarad shows who controls Tol Barad and the time until the next battle. During the battle it shows the time since the battle started. There are no messages sent between players. The function updating the time and faction requires that you are not in an instance.

You have the option to:

  • show / hide the seconds from the Broker text. By default seconds are hidden and will only show during the last minute.
  • choose whom to notice before the battle starts (self, guild, party, raid).
  • choose when to notice (battle start, 5min before, 15 min before, 30 min before).
  • use audio warning.

You can also get information related to the next battle by using Shift-Click on the time while the chat edit box is opened.

In order to use it you need a broker display addon like ButtonBin or Titan Panel.

    Sometimes timer doesn't update to show battle has finished and what faction has it now, till I go into Tol Barad Peninsula, then it updates correctly.

    WoW v5.0.5 with Broker_TolBarad v1.10.1.

    I've noticed some errant behavior after latest patch:

    - Sometimes it shows battle is going on when there is none

    - Sometimes battle starts (while in Stormwind, IF, etc), it shows there's battle correctly but no time info

    I've also noticed some bugs with the Blizzard UI for Tol Barad. Such as Remaining time (top screen while in Tol Barad) displays 0 or displays wrong time as it is not updated after a tower is destroyed. I'll investigate more, but most probably we'll have to wait for Blizz to fix their code.

    check what zone your in , if you phase into a dif area they might have a dif faction in charage of tb and dif timer , my guild just got fininshed with a tb and went to ICC , and saw we join join another one in 5 mnis , we tired but but even if you get called it says you're not allowed to enterYell. but your issue may be related to phasing.

    would you please change line 562 to include 

    ("Interface\\AddOns\\Broker_TolBarad\\Media\\brass_fanfare_4.mp3", "Master")

    the , "Master"  will make it so teh addon sends its sounds to teh master channel , so those of us that play with sound effects off will still hear it.

    The problem is in AdiCCMonitor file Alerts.lua line 188": self:CancelTimer("SendQuery").

    The reason you see Broker_TolBarad listed there is because it's the fist addon to load the library AceTimer-3.0, which several addons then use.

    Nice addon, thx for that :)

    Here a little feature request:
    Could you (optionally) increased the info while battle, wheter my faction is attacking or defending?
    And maybe the time, how long the battle already takes?
    E.g.
    Attack-Battle since 0:13
    instead of just "Battle".

    Auto-queueing doesn't work for me anymore. I get a popup which says "You cannot queue for Tol Barad at this time", which probably means the addon tries to queue too early. Could you add like a 5-10 second delay to it, please?

    Added 10s delay in the alpha version. Should work fine now.

    Is it possible to add an function that alerting when there is a loading, like when I enter/exit a battleground or changing continent, corresponding to the selected time alert. Thank and sorry for my bad English.

    Since the newest alpha (v1.4-1-ga708dc4) it does not show who is controllling, but the default neutral icon, until I enter the zone.
