About Candy Buckets (Lunar Festival: Elders)
Mists of Pandaria Elders will be added with an update as soon as possible.
Very simple to use addon to help you hunt down all the Elders!
Open the world map and the icons will show around the zones, showing you Elders you have not yet visited with your character! After taking their coin, the icon will be hidden so you know you've already robbed him.
It couldn't get simpler, so get going!
Optional addons to get:
- TomTom
- TomTomLite
With one of the above you can click on the world map icon to plot a course, how neat, isn't it? If you use TomTom (not Lite) you can shift/ctrl/alt+click the icon to plot that location and all other non-visited once for a brainless road trip!
Optimal TomTom settings:
» Waypoint Arrow:
+ Enable floating waypoint arrow
+ Automatically set to next closest waypoint
+ Allow closest waypoint to be outside current zone
» Minimap:
+ Enable minimap waypoints
» World Map:
+ Enable world map waypoints

1.0.7:
- Bumped TOC, only difference is the game doesn't complain that the addon is outdated, because it's not.
- No new Elders this year, so no database changes.
- Fixed a bug where Elders in instanced were ignored when clearing visited Elders, this caused their instance icon in the world map not to get removed properly, except if doing a /reloadui or relogging.

- Updated map library and made it compatible with Mapster, along with other small changes.

- Improved how quests are flagged as completed, no need to cache all the quests we've ever done, only need to clear out visited once. This still needs some work, still better than last implementation.

- Added support for TomTom to queue waypoints and display every unvisited location at once. You can do this by holding down shift/ctrl/alt and clicking a node, that note will be focused then the nearest nodes will be automatically selected. (If not double check your waypoint arrow settings, that it's set to automatically pick nearest waypoint.)

I have TomTom; it seems to sort of work there. I'm in Northrend at the moment, and when I look at a map for a zone, I see little white icons that I guess are for the Elders (but have no mouseover text). When I right-click on one and then exit the map, it causes the TomTom waypoint arrow to appear with the text "Elder (xx.x, yy.y)". The waypoints don't spontaneously appear; I have to look at the zone map and scan for the Elder icon.
The markers are not showing up for me..... Is it possible that since the achievments are account wide now and I cleared them on another toon that they are not showing up?
No, probably related to map addon not being compatible, I guess you use Carbonite, so use ctrl+m to show the default map. Second thing is to make sure the addon actually loads, "enable outdated addons" on the addon menu screen at login, make sure it's not in red text. Other than that I recommend once it works to take a peak on the description, if you wish to use TomTom, it would make things a bit quicker for you. ;)

Thnx for your reply! I am using Tom Tom which is up to date. I have checked the "out of date add-ons" tab and it is actually loading. Additionally, I did a full reboot, just to make sure there wasn't a latency of some sort. The Ctrl+M turns the music on and off...... The other map oriented add-ons I have installed are: GatherMate, NPC_Scan, Lost Treasures, and Handy Notes. I installed HandyNotes as an alternative to this add-on afterwards and it doesnt work for me either. Gatermate and LostTreasures are working fine. Guess I will take the time to put in the way points by macro. Oh and the recommended TomTom settings are my normal defaults..... Maybe this helps. I am now suspecting another add-on like "LostTreasures" is causing the break. Thnx
ok, so now ive visited half the elders on kalimdor, i log out, and log back in and all the ones i already visited are back on the map again. does this use creature database to tell which ones youve been to, cause thats the only thing i deleted for npcscan before logging back in.
edit-also seems to be a few elders that no longer exist.
The addon checks if the quest related to each Elder is completed or not, if it's completed it removes it from the map so you shouldn't then see an icon of said Elder. Your cache files shouldn't matter at all, very strange that visited Elders came back like that. Not directly accessible to the addon, but the game keeps a local cache of your completed quests, I believe it can be cleared by simply restarting the game, maybe something funny happened and you should do it (by now you have :P) - there are many other things that might be at fault but gotta start testing somewhere.

Are there any slash commands for this addon? Or a mouse combo to add all the waypoints?
No slash commands, only a bonus feature if you use TomTom, check the part in the description about "Optional addons to get:" as I explain the alternative function provided when using it with TomTom. :)

Am I doing something wrong here? Even with just Candy Buckets/Tom Tom I can't see nothing on my Map/Minimap. >(
That's weird, maybe you are one of the rare cases where the last year Elder quests didn't reset for you?
Make sure the addon is enabled, I uploaded a small bugfix and TOC bump, but if you use the old one the game will say it's outdated, and you must check the "enable outdated addons" box to force the game to load the addon. ;)

Sorry if you got the impression it was going to show the icons on the continent maps. If you get TomTom you can modify click the Elder icon to plot every unvisited Elder using TomTom, just a tip.

I see nothing either, on any of my characters, checked and the addon is turned on at the character screen, but i cant find any hint of it while actually in the game.
edit-disabled then reenabled all map related addons, got them now on main map, they only show on zone view though, not continent/world.
Well I was really hoping this would show up in Carbonite lol
I guess I get to add TomTom to my ever growing list of 95+ addons :D I hadn't bothered useing TomTom recently because Carbonite has a TomTom emulation arrow that has filled most of my needs.
Sorry, I know I promissed somewhere Carbonite support for next years event (now) and still none, damn me! Sorry, I just hope you still find it to be usefull enough, regardless the lack of Carbonite support. :)

Thanks to your addon I made all [elder of..] achievements here is a few bugs:
NPC inside Lower blackrock spire and Blackrock Depths not showing on map inside instances.
In blackrock mountain is on the world map only one mark (one NPC) should be two as there are in Lower blackrock spire and Blackrock Depths.
Darkhorn the Elder who is located in orgrimmar is marked on the map in Stonetalon Mountains.
