About Combo Points Redux

Combo Points Redux is a numeric and graphical display for your combo points (and other similar mechanic abilities) based on the excellent numeric-only addon BasicComboPoints.

Slash Command

/cpr or /cpredux

If you are updating from a pre-2.2.0 version of ComboPointsRedux, your frame positions have been reset! You will need to reposition all your displays (graphics and text).
If you are updating from 2.2.0 to any later version, everything is still saved, nothing has moved.

Features

  • Numeric and graphical display of your combo points
  • Works for vehicle combo points (ex. Malygos Phase Three)
  • Numeric display and graphical display are independently movable
  • Many icon choices for the graphical display
  • Also tracks many other stacking buffs/debuffs including
    • Death Knights: Bone Shield and Shadow Infusion
    • Druids: Lunar Shower, Astral Alignment (T11 4pc), Wild Mushroom and Lacerate
    • Hunters: Frenzy Effect and Ready, Set, Aim...
    • Mages: Arcane Blast and Fingers of Frost
    • Paladins: Seal of Truth and Holy Power
    • Priests: Serendipity, Evangelism, Dark Evangelism, Mind Melt and Shadow Orbs
    • Rogues: Deadly Poison and Bandit's Guile
    • Shaman: Fulmination, Maelstrom Weapon, Water Shield and Tidal Waves
    • Warlocks: Soul Shards
    • Warriors: Meat Cleaver and Thunderstruck

Coming Soon

  • Additional ways to alert at certain point values (like having the screen flash a certain color at X number of points)

Localization

Currently the addon will work in all locales, but the options screen is not translated on all clients. If you would like to help translate the options screen you can submit translations with the new localization tool at wowace.

    Hi, Starinnia! Pelease fix:

    Bone shield now has 6 charges, up from 4. It shows only when 4 and lesser (r244)

    Just have one problem, I've set up the screen flash to flash once 4 combo points are applied, it flashes correctly when I have 4 combo points, but when I go from 3-5 or -5 combo points it doesn't seem to flash. Is this intended or is this a problem. I just want it to flash on 4 or 5 combo points.

    I had originally written the flash code to only flash at the exact threshold value because I thought repeated flashing with some quickly stacking buff would be annoying.

    I added an option to allow the user to control this behavior. Two modes exist now, STRICT and RELAXED. STRICT mode is the old behavior, only flash at the exact threshold value. RELAXED mode will flash at or above the threshold value.

    You can preview this change in the r236 Alpha on WoWAce. Let me know if there are any bugs or other problems.

    **IMPORTANT**
    Release 2.2.0 changes how the positions are saved. When you update all your displays will be around the center of your screen, you will need to reposition them to your liking.

    I know there hasn't been much going on with CPR for a bit. I did post a couple Alpha builds with new modules and some minor bugfixes. However, with my last final of the quarter tonight, I should be able to add a couple major features and push a new Release version either this week or next, so stay tuned!

    I just downloaded the 2.2.0_beta1 zip file. When I extracted the archive to install it, there were 2 files in the archive that were password protected. May I ask what those files are and why I must have a password for them? Thanks in advance.

    I just downloaded it and there was no password protection on anything.

    I used 7Zip and Windows Explorer to open them without issue.

    Well, I never had this issue before with this or any other addon.

    Here are the requestors I got when using Windows to extract the zip file ...

    1. Password Needed
    File 'AceGUIWidget-DropDown.lua' is password protected. Please enter the password in the box below.

    2. Choice was "Skip File" or "Cancel". Skipped file.

    3. Password Needed
    File 'CallbackHandler-1.0' is password protected. Please enter the password in the box below.

    I just tried it again on 3 different computers at different locations, home, work and a place with free WiFi. And I received no requests for passwords when extracting with 7Zip, Windows or WinZip. I tried both the file from Curse and from WoWAce. I cannot reproduce this at all.

    I like the simplistic nature of this mod, however, there are two feature I'd like to see in the options. Is there any way we can get an X, Y coordinate system added for the bar placements instead of just having to use drag and drop? I manage my UI for 10 characters and being able to place bars at exact locations helps out tremendously with keeping things the same across all of them.

    I'd also like to see numeric options for setting colors. As it is if you want to change multiple combo point bars or stacks to the same color you have to do it roughly instead of exactly.

    I'll add precise positioning options, no ETA on that since school has me fairly busy right now, but they will be added.
