About Combo Points Redux

Slash Command

/cpr or /cpredux

  • Numeric and graphical display of your combo points
  • NEW Advanced Point Tracking to track your combo points on yourself instead of your target
  • Works for vehicle combo points (ex. Malygos Phase Three)
  • Numeric display and graphical display are independently movable
  • Many icon choices for the graphical display
  • Also tracks many other stacking buffs/debuffs including
    • Death Knights: Bone Shield
    • Druids: Combo Points
    • Mages: Arcane Charge
    • Monks: Chi
    • Paladins: Holy Power
    • Priests: Shadow Orbs
    • Rogues: Combo Points, Bandit's Guile and Initiative
    • Warlocks: Soul Shards and Burning Embers

If you want another module for a spell please file them as tickets on WoWAce. It makes my life easier! Thanks!

Bug reports are also best made as a ticket.

Currently the addon will work in all locales, but the options screen is not translated on all clients. If you would like to help translate the options screen you can submit translations with the new localization tool at wowace.

Use UnitPower with powerType = 4 to track combo points in "advanced" mode.
Advanced mode means that combo points are tracked on the player, instead of on the target. This new option is off by default.

Remove the target changed event from the Combo module. Combo Points persist on the player and decay out of combat. We only need the unit_combo_points event now.

I LOVE this mod, and have been using it for as long as I can remember on my rogue. It also works amazingly well for my warlock, tracking Burning Embers and Soul Shards, but I'm wondering 1 thing: Is it possible to make the warlock Embers/Shards portion only track them if you're in the spec? ... Currently, when I go Destruction, for example... I still see all the Soul Shards from my Affliction spec on the screen. Why not hide them until I go Affliction again (which would, in turn, hide the Embers from destro)? Possible? =) Just a thought.

  • #169

This is already in the alpha builds.

  • #172

Works great so far! Thanks a ton. :)

  • #171

Alpha builds are on the WowAce project page:

They're mostly stable.  I have a couple more things I'm looking to add before I tag a new release for Curse.

  • #170

Sweet! Where do I get that? I'm not seeing how to here on curse... Or is it simply not out yet, hence alpha?

  • #167

Just wanted to say thanks for making shaman Fulmination a lot easier to track!

(Love the lightning icons, too, BTW)

  • #162

It appears as if this, and all other available chi trackers are currently not functioning in 5.1 for chi tracking.

Should be fixed, and next time if you're going to post an error, please file a ticket.  Taking up an entire comment page with an error dump kinda sucks.

  • #155

I cannot access the control panel. /cpr and /cpredux do nothing, do not even exit the chat window when I hit enter.  The yellow panels are up on my screen but I can't do anything with them.

  • #156

Do you have an error log? What class is this on? What version are you using? Does this problem happen with just CPR installed.

Other than a minor locale issue (which didn't break the options) my characters do not have an issue using the slash commands.

Oops, yes it seems I'm retarded. Acvtivating options addon solved my problem. Thanks for the help, and I really appreciate your work. :D

Do you have the Options addon enabled?  The options are in a seperate load on demand addon, it's supposed to load the options before calling the function that threw that error.  If there is a problem in the options module then you should have another error that happens right before that one.

  • #164

I also have the same error and I get this (Might have something to do with my other addons):

Message: Interface\AddOns\ComboPointsRedux\Core.lua:473: ComboPointsRedux isn't registed with AceConfigRegistry, unable to open config
    Time: 11/28/12 19:46:16

I tried it on my Druid, Rogue, and Hunter. All three had text for various modules.  Make sure you have the font size large enough, the default is a little small.  Otherwise... I have no idea. It works fine for me and people in my guild.  Unlock the displays, make sure there is a small grey square for the text display, if there isn't then you have it disabled some how.

  • #160

That did fix the ability to access the config panel but after locking the buttons all I get are yellow (and red) squares. I get no text at all despite using the defaults.
