About Combustion
Displays the potential dot value of combustion, in damage per second.
Minimalistic Addon
This is a simple addon which updates in real time, unlike most other combustion addons which have a delay on them and usually tell you more than you need to know.
Display is movable by holding ctrl and dragging.
The addon has 3 commands, accessible by typing /combustion or /comb for short:
- /comb ## - where ## is a number, changes the font size
- /comb reset - resets the position and font size to default
- /comb combat - toggles automatically hiding when out of combat and combustion value is 0

For fire mages trying out this addon: I downloaded this addon at 86 and I couldn't figure out where the number was for the longest time. Till I went back to town and smacked on a dummy that is. Had to increase the font to super huge and toggle it. It works now but I don't think it loaded properly the first time. So if you are having trouble /reload and try it out on something that lives more then 20 seconds.
Edit: Noticing it has trouble going below 1k sometimes but you don't want to use it that low anyway. :P
Since the hotfix on Nov29th changed combustion to 50% of ignite, is there be a way to see the true combustion value instead of seeing 2x the value?
Addon is updated.
Not sure how hard this would be but i would like to see a user set threshhold that alerts you when it has been reached. IE - user sets it to 20K ignight when 20k is reached the combustion icon flashes in the center of the screen with a small msg like " combustion at 20k". This would allow a lot of flexiblity especially for mages that do or do not glyph combustion since if you glyph it, it is really important to wait for a big one; where as if you dont a 10K ignight is a descent proc.
edit: if any other mages would like to see this please bump it.
Just switched to this addon over a more popular one because this one actually shows me exactly all I care about, THE AMOUNT OF MY IGNITE IN BIG BOLD LETTERS!
Thank you for making this, it's exactly what I have wanted for the last 2 years and it's unfortunate that I only found it today by stumbling across it on accident.
My combusts will now be feared in BG's.I take that back. How do i change its position?
Hold Ctrl and click on it to drag.
u sir are a legend!
This sounds GREAT. Now if i could get it to work...
Turned off all other Addons for testing, tried reseting its position (even though i had just installed it), relogged as fire, changed its font. It seems like its accepting commands, at least WoW isnt giving me the "type /help for blablabla", it just doesnt show me any numbers ;(
Any help/suggestion is greatly appreciated.
I really can't think of what could cause this. Try typing /dump GetCombustionTotal() and see if you get anything. Is your wow in english? Are you getting any errors?
Yea! This is what I am looking for! Just a number to show the possible damage of "Combustion", without all the additional stuff other addons are showing! If this addon will work, I will be very happy!
I actually still cant get this addon work, tried adding those lines in lua, but nothing happens, im on fire spec and i cant get the addon show up when i logg on or while in combat. Any tips ? or updated version coming out soon?
Fixed version has been released for a while. Maybe you moved it somewhere you can't see it? Try resetting it.
I activated the automatical hiding when out of combat.
But when logging in with frost spec active and changing to fire, Combustion will not appear. I have to relog (so that I logged in with active fire spec) to get it work.
I'm not very good at lua, but I think you forgot combustion.frame:RegisterEvent("PLAYER_REGEN_DISABLED") in line 68
and
combustion.frame:UnregisterEvent("PLAYER_REGEN_DISABLED") in line 74
I added that lines and it works.
I actually fixed this already but I must have uploaded the wrong version last time. /facepalm
