About CopyThat!
Bind a key, and copy text from whatever your mouse is hovering over.
Chatframes, QuestText, Menus whatever.
You can bind a key from the blizzard key bindings configuration menu.
The following slash commands are supported:
/cpyt <Name of Frame>
This is mostly used for the chatframes, eg.
/cpyt ChatFrame1
you can bind keys to copy the frame that your mouse pointer is over, or the game tooltip (since you cant mouse over it).
I suppose you could also use: /cpyt GameToolTip

/print GetMouseFocus():GetName()
The name of the frame will appear in chat. You can then use it with the /cpyt command.
I don't get it
Whats the binding you press to get the screen to copy anything u mouse over or how do I create that binding. The only thing I know is how to copy from chat frame.
Any possibility to get this work with WIM chat addon?
/copythat ChatFrame1
I am not able to copy from the chat frame for some reason. I hover over it, hit the key for the mod and it just shows whatever I last copied (like an NPC name or some other pane). It copies the "General" from the general chat pane when I mouse over the tab on the chat frame, but I get nothing when I hover over the body of it.
amazingly handy
The below post is true.
Yes, this still works just fine.
For chat copying there is a better solution built into Prat.
Does this thing still work? I've seen a bettter chat copy mod before but it was included with cosmos.
Ctrl v - to paste this is Std.
How do you paste?
The description is lacking, i'll give you that.
Basically, you use the key binding interface on the game's options menu to bind a key - just like you would for an action button. I'll make some notes
Some instructions for key binding would have been nice in a README. Copied from the
.lua ffile for those that don't know the bindings.
