This has very big possibilities and I do really like what you are trying to achieve. I tried this out with only this addon only installed on a level 30 character.

First 2 annoying things I came across while setting it up / messing with it was:

1.Certain frames seem to latch onto each other. eg Debuff group, Buff group, Armor frame. You select the buff frame and it will move all 3 frames at once. Select the Debuff frame first though and it will move on its own but selecting buff or armor and it will select 2 frames or 3.

2.If you add a bar I could find no way of removing it.

I can see that there is plenty to add into this addon, Action Bars needs alot of working on and the possibility to not have the addon do anything with them would be good(people using Razer Naga will use Razer naga addon), Hope to see the abbility to move / resize the player frames. Plenty more there which Im guessing you are working on.

I did like the options on what you've done with the minimap. Simple and easy move / resize with nice frame styles.

I can see this addon having alot of new folders to get to what you wish it to be. I'll be keeping an eye on it :)

Keep going its looking like a really good idea.

To remove an added bar target bar hit Delete key.   Found that out while trying out the addon myself. Wink

Yeah, I need to include that in the tutorial.

    1. To ungroup a bar, change it's "anchor" at the inspector to "screen"
    2. To delete a bar, press backspace, delete, ctrl-x,... you choose
    3. Disable Cornucopia Actions

First off I'd like to say I love the UI construction method you've created.  I am a huge fan of the concept of keeping the UI elements within one fully customizable addon.  So, 3 cheers for ya on that one!

Two things I have noticed though that you might want to consider in the future.

    1. the ability to flip images on art bars at least horizontally.  Basically, I cannot even recreate the default UI because there's only one image for Lion or Griffon and therefore can only create one side of the bar.  Extremely minor, but could be quite helpful in an asthetic aspect.

    2. I am unable to bind mouse buttons to the action buttons.  Don't know if this is by design or just left out...so thought I'd bring it up.  Button4 & Button5 I've bound to specific actions previously and in attempting to replace my current use of Bartender or even the default action bars I am unable to without this ability.

    Keep up the great authoring!

    1. Working on it as we speak! Vertical too.
    2. Have you tried to double-click an action bar? Or to clcik on "Hotkeys" at the toolbar when an action bar is selected? Just trying to understand if you are experiencing a bug.

just tried it again to verify and no, it doesn't take the mouse buttons (MOUSE BUTTON4 or MOUSE BUTTON5) which are available on my Logitech mouse.  Bartender and even the default action bars accept it so I'm not sure what needs to be added to include that functionality, but it seems fairly standard (just my opinion).  I am in the "binding" mode for the bar, having double-clicked on it, and then place the cursor over the button I wish to assign, click the mouse button I want to assign to it which usually returns a label of "B5" or "M5" (I've seen both in different circumstances).  I've tried every possible way to get it to accept the button and still nothing.  If I assign a "button" to the mouse button, say "]" then it will take it, but not the direct "button4" from the mouse.  Hope that helps...

This addon seems to be interesting will have to check this addon out with a Dummy toon & see what there is to it always looking for ways to make my interface custom and clean ^_^.

Tested out the addon a bit and it a nice alternative so far to my bartender & it lets me have a little more control over my interface.  Just waiting till it is polished enough to take over for my current addon needs

    Hello there.

This addon seems to have a great potential, but i cannot find anything related to art right now. I want to add sort of a defaultish blizzard art at the bottom, sadly i don't know how :(

  • #30

Try the beta version. It comes with a new module of Art bars. No defaults for now, so you will have to start from zero.
