About Cyborg MMO7

The Cyborg MMO7 add-on allows you to drag and drop spells, inventory items and macros directly to the buttons of the mouse. No more lengthy setup, just jump in and quickly create the perfect configuration without having to change any of your existing action bar settings.

For first time users, we suggest looking at the Tutorial Video for the add-on:

Before you run the add-on please take the time to read these brief setup notes:

Make sure that the drivers and software for the MMO7 have been downloaded and installed from the downloads section of

Also, inside the CyborgMMO7 addon is a folder called CurrentProfile. This will be the latest up to date profile you will need to place in the profile directory: (Or download and unzip the MMO Profile Pack from the bottom of the download section of

The profiles need to be unzipped and placed in the correct folder on your PC. Once unzipped, put the profiles into:

Windows8/8.1: C:\Users\Public\Documents\SmartTechnology Profiles

Windows7: C:\Users\Public\Documents\SmartTechnology Profiles

Vista: Public Documents\SmartTechnology Profiles

XP : Shared Documents\SmartTechnology Profiles

Mac: <user's home directory>Library/Application Support/Smart Technology/RAT

Once the profiles are in the correct folder, click the MMO7 icon in your system tray, and then left click the profile called Mmo7WoW. The MMO7 icon will be highlighted green to show that the profile is active.

When you are in game, press the mode button on the MMO7 to sync the add-on with the device.

This profile needs to be active when you want to play using the add-on.

NOTE: For those who have had previous versions installed

Check the correct assignments are set by right clicking the Cyborg icon on the map or by going to Game Menu > Interface > AddOns > Cyborg MMO7 From the click the + to expand the menu and click on keybindings. Cyborg MMO7

For Anyone Thinking of Utilizing this Mod

Do note that the addon, and the cyborg mmo7, have numerous kinks in its design. For starters the version listed on the page at the time of writing 5.0.5 is not the newest version. Farther in the comments you will find a post to the curse forge page with the newest version. This version is a must. located by GeneralPsycho5

After downloading the r65 version of the mod some edits are required to make it properly work. Since the mouse emulates keystrokes you might find situations in which you will accidently change ingame options.

    For examples:

Profile 1 is almost always unable to be utilized. This could be due to the fact the mouse pushes the keyboard button reguardless of its numlock state. WoW on the other hand reads this state. What this means is: if your numlock is off instead you will play with your cameras rather than use your skills. At least this was my experiance as I found profile 2 to be the least bugged out of box.

When using some of the profile 2 settings and walking backwards you may turn off all game sounds. This is because by default Ctrl S disables/enables sound. If the game sees the Alt Ctrl X command at the same time as S is being held it may associate the two together.

A global problem comes from the mouse. The mouse utilizes hotkeys and because of that any conflicting hotkey binding will overwrite WoW. For example: Razer Comm for some reason had Alt Ctrl F2 bound for some functionality. This is shared by the bottom thumb rest button within profile 2.

The Good The Bad and The Solutions:

Thw Good: The addon (r65 edition) works for the time being and potentially for future updates. This is done by forcing wow to create new keybinds that the mouse is then designed to use. With the addon reading your current active mode and making a "bar" associated to it. Because of this you are able to bind buttons not controlled by your already used bars. This allows potentially an entire skill bar of skills on the mouse alone. Combined with other things providing the player with upwards to countless buttons.

Along with this you are able to drop nearly anything into this "bar." This includes skills, items, and macros. There are a few things you can add such as character sheet and bags but outside these specialized "buttons" your unable to put them in.

The Bad: The bad, the addon suffers from poor support on the behalf of razer. Many important aspects such as explaination of how to get it working are lacking. The version posted here has been noted to decide at random times to change its self up or not properly register bindings. Also it had a issue properly saving specs and would wipe any time a spec was changed.

Since the controller does use hotkeys external programs are very likely to intercept the hotkey and take over some skills from wow.

The Solutions: For the main problem see the curse forge and get r65. For binding problems here are some solutions.

    1) rebind some of WoWs hotkeys. Ctrl and alt are used very often by the addon. Because of this things such as Ctrl S (sound enable/disable) are potential problems. So you can go though and rebind these buttons that may cause problems. You can also disable these keys as needed.

    2) Find conflicts with external programs. Either change the external program (difficulty depending on application) or change the addon and the mouse (bit longer). This is done by going into the keybinding section of the addon via the interface>addons and finding said button and changing its command. Yet changes in here are only half of the edit. You then have to right click the profiler and edit said profile. Set the mode, find the button and change it to match the ingame. Save and Activate.

    3) Make one profile for life.

This takes a bit of time but here goes.

Phase 1: Profiler: Set mode 1 and program every single button in order the ingame addon. The buttons ingame and on profiler are not listed in the same order (go figure) so its based to use the base mmo profile for this. Then set these commands to a series or string which will never change. For example you could set the entire series to: Alt Ctrl Numpad0 - Alt Ctrl Numpad9 then include a Numpad+ Numpad- and Numpad* version to cover all possibilities (note use of numpad tends to require numpad being on. rebinding autorun to a new button should be prioritized).

After you have your one profile done. Delete every other combo on the other modes unless needed.

Phase 2: Addon: Set every unrequired keybinding to something so unused it would never come up. Alt Ctrl Page up was my preference. Do this for every mode and button not in use. Lastly for the modes in use copy the profiler's setting to set it up with minimal conflicts.

NOTE: Avoid buttons used by WoW during normal combat. For example: Q W E A S D 1 thru =. This is because somethings the game, mouse, addon, and hotkey will in some way conflict. This is seen in Mode 3 Alt Ctrl A keybind while ironically holding the D or A button to act up in your movement.

You can forgo much of this process by just binding buttons to 1 thur =. Yet the use of the addon is very nice for those i dont want this on my hotbar but still on my mouse buttons. While a bunch of this work seems difficult it really is not, and you are able to really work with a rather alright mod combined with the flexability of the mouse. Also note the mod rarely uses the third modifier that wow accepts which is Shift. I never tested why this was but it is a possibility. I am unsure if wow accepts Shift Alt Ctrl modifiers all at the same time.

This is the most helpful post I've seen.  I was really getting annoyed with the 5.0.5 version.  If there is a way to sticky this comment please do so.  Thanks Akizuki.

Is there an update for Wow 5.4? It keeps saying the addon is out of date.

  • #176

Was bought this for Christmas and having a mare setting it up.

Finally got the profile "working" in game, but rather than actually working as the buttons I would like set separately, this is using my keybinds 1-0 as the buttons on the mouse...meaning I would have to change them if I wanted to ACTUALLY use the mouse the way this addon would make me believe I set it up.

  • #175

To be honest... I launched the addon and it seemed interesting, but seemed like a bit of a pain, I was using the World of Warcraft:Catalyst edition mouse and enjoyed how it intergrated with the WoW UI as normal keybinds so all I did is go to the my profile editor and set each key to "Shift-Alt-[random number]" than went back to wow and bound to my spellbars and was good to go across all my toons (since I used the other mouse, I pretty much just changed each bind for bind on the mice, lol) hopefully this helps people who are having troubles with the addon.

I bought this mouse about 3 weeks ago and it was working great but it had some issues. The spec change was the most annoying thing ever. Having to set the spell bindings every time I logged in or switched specs was really boring so I did about an hour of searching and wouldn't you know it, the answer is in this forum. So, to save everyone time, I will post a mini how-to right here. I looked at some of everyone's issues so hopefully this fixes most if not all.

First of all, to get this to work in game, you need to download two things:
    1. The World of warcraft profile
    2. The world of warcraft in game addon AKA why you are on this page.

Here is a link to the profile page:
Check the bottom left corner and you will see "MMO Profile pack" or you can click the button more centrally located at the bottom of the page labeled "MMO 7 WoW Add On"

You need to go to this link:
And download the most recent version of the app. The version on this page I do not believe has been updated to the most recent version. (Maybe it has, but mine wasn't for some reason)

In addition to this, before you start the game (or after) you need to right click the little cyborg head in your icon tray of your desktop and turn on the MMO7 wow addon profile. The cyborg head will go green. Then log into game

IF YOU HAVE MULTIPLE SPECS (who doesn't) you will need to go into your addon settings in game (esc->interface->addons->MMO7) and click  "per-spec bindings" This will now give you 3 addon profiles for every spec .

I believe this will fix every issue that I have seen. Hope it works for you!

How do I get this to work, I have everything I need installed to my computer but when I go in game and sync the mouse with the cyborg head on screen it will change colors but the buttons wont work. I also have all the spells set to the buttons I want but only the top two above the 5D pad work.. please help

  • #171

I just bought this mouse and spent the last 3 hours trying to ge it to work the mouse seemed to work untill i updated the driver and software do what you like I am taking this piece of chit back to where I bought it and staying with my logitech its not rocket science its a mouse over 100 buck for a fail mouse buyer beware!

  • #170

that was a nice idea, but my bind change itself as soon as I switch spec on my toons.  I have to rebind everything over and over again.

I still have 3 weeks remaining with my mouse before returning at futureshop and this is unfortunately what's gonna happen as it is just unplayable at all :(

edit: that's it, I am donw with that mouse.  Going to futureshop today to have a refound.  Too dependant of a dead wow addon which is constantely doing lua errors

I'm having a bit of a problem with this addon. When entering the game there are 2 lua errors. And some extra errors when clicking/dragging a skill on the panel.
Has anyone encountered such a problem?

I'm enjoying the MMO7, especially since it feels almost identical to my other mouse, a RAT7.  This addon is a great idea to make configuring the mouse very easy, but it does not function reliably.

I have had the same problem as many others. Spells and macros will sometimes change to random other abilities. This addon cannot be trusted, so I have had to create hidden action bars to map abilities to my Cyborg.

Please fix this addon so that it properly saves and loads what the player maps to the mouse buttons.

Got my Cyborg MMO 7 August 9th. Love it. Loved this addon, until I encountered a bug while playing my hunter. Unsure if it happened between character switching or during a load screen (kept switching toons the day this happened), but a few of my mouse buttons changed on me. Didn't realize it until I was in combat. Seems that out of my 4 90s, only 1 has been effected by this bug. Had to reassign all the mouse buttons on that toon.

Hope that experience was just a fluke, but posting about it here anyway to inform you it happened.

  • #167

Just a small update on my mouse button problem.

It's been almost a week now & I've not experienced the issue again, yet. I change toons, move the button abilities around occasionally & haven't had the problem return as of yet.

Just to those who experience this, it's easy to get the buttons back to how you had them, if you take a screenshot of the addon window with your button layout. I do this whenever I change the buttons, just incase.

  • #174

This issue hasn't occured on any of my 90s in a while, but I started to lvl an alt and the problem happens with them. Seems to be linked to not having every button mapped. As I said, it doesn't happen to my 90s and all of their buttons are mapped, but the new character only has a few buttons and it keeps being messed up.
