Getting Started

When you first login with this AddOn you will see a black transparent rectangle with a blue bar labeled 'Default', called the encounter pane, in the center of your screen. Shift+Click on it to move it. From left to right you will see:

  1. Stop Icon: Halts the current encounter (you should rarely have to do this)
  2. Menu Icon: Opens the configuration dialog
  3. Folder Icon: Opens a drop down menu to activate encounters
  4. Lock Icon: Toggles frame anchors
  5. Windows Icon: Opens a drop down menu to show interface windows

Also, if you ever hide the pane and can't get it to show, type /dxe for commands. There is also a minimap icon, which can open the configuration dialog.

    HA I'm not alone !

Me too on frFR client, on encounters I need launch DXE manually :(

  • #772

Same problem too, and I'm playing also on frFR client.

And on Madness of Deathwing encounter my DXE seems to don't work at all . A team mate got the same problem.

  • #771

Same problem, since patch 4.3, I have to launch DXE manually... playing on frFR client

have a problem with DXE. I have to load every Boss manual.

So first I must load the Raid in the main menue and after that I have to load each boss manual over the Panel.

Im having a weird problem... my windows (Panel, radar, etc) doesnt have a background anymore... it really doesnt affect playing, but its a lil annoying.

  • #768

I need dxe wotlk ! why is it gone?

  • #767

I was getting a whole mess of LUA errors last night from DXE on the heroic domo encounter. The trash and the encounter itself. Anyone else reporting this problem? If so, any fixes? I love DXE but I had to turn it off last night because it was upwards of 1000+ errors.

Is there any chance that you could create a plug-in for DXE to cover heroics? I would rather be able to completely ditch DBM and solely use DXE, if at all possible. Thanks for a fantastic addon :)

my timers for Rags seeds are about 6 seconds off, assuming 0 is when they appear. Anyone else getting this? DBM is spot on
  • #764

The timers for Ragnaros, engulfing flames seemed off (by a few seconds) last night. Is anyone else having these problems, so i can rule out lag.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi there,

Is there any way that I can change the time when the timer moves to the center icon bar? I want it to show up on the center anchor at 10 seconds rather than the 5 or so it is set to. What would I have to do to get this? Only thing that bothers me :(

    Thanks so much!

May i request for some sort of sound alert in the hm shannox encounter to sound off when rageface is doing facerage?
  • #761
Are these TTS (text to speech) announcements a feature of DXE?
If they are: Where are the options for them?

    TTS announces in the video:
    "Stomp cooldown ready"
    "New Fragments"
    "Lavaline now"

Hey guys, it's great that this addon is back!!!! TY!!!

one issue that i'm having is very low volume sound alert, I tried to experiment with sound settings to no avail and I remember it used to be much louder...any advice?

So I tryed this again. and I am now uninstalling it from my computer. my raid group was doing a valor run through bwd and on a couple of the fights I missed some prety vital things that dbm has as default. the one the comes to mind the most is the abomination timers and the flame jets for maloriak. I even tryed to find a way of turning them on during a break we took. it cause at least one wipe that I am sure about because I wasnt catching the timeing right with the jets. dont get me wrong, its a beautiful mod. and I would love to use it. but deadly boss mobs is just much easier to use.
