Getting Started
When you first login with this AddOn you will see a black transparent rectangle with a blue bar labeled 'Default', called the encounter pane, in the center of your screen. Shift+Click on it to move it. From left to right you will see:
- Stop Icon: Halts the current encounter (you should rarely have to do this)
- Menu Icon: Opens the configuration dialog
- Folder Icon: Opens a drop down menu to activate encounters
- Lock Icon: Toggles frame anchors
- Windows Icon: Opens a drop down menu to show interface windows
Also, if you ever hide the pane and can't get it to show, type /dxe for commands. There is also a minimap icon, which can open the configuration dialog.
Mist of Pandaria Update

- Features: You can use the master sound channel for alerts and arrows
- Localization: Most of the supported languages are now working, please visit the localization page for Firelands translations.
- Proximity Radar: A customizable radar is now available, too.
Implemented Encounters

The encounter files for WotLK can be found here: DXE Old Encounters
Localizations
Please visit the localization page to translate in-game phrases. It is open to anyone with an account. The most important phrases are the chat triggers for bosses, because they start encounters. However, not all encounters are started by chat triggers. The rest of the phrases are for display purposes. The following languages need a maintainer:
- Korean (koKR)
- Russian (ruRU)
- Simplified Chinese (zhCN)
- Spanish (esES)
- Traditional Chinese (zhTW)
- Brazilian Portuguese (ptBR)
- Latin American Spanish (esMX)

HA I'm not alone !
Me too on frFR client, on encounters I need launch DXE manually :(
Same problem too, and I'm playing also on frFR client.
And on Madness of Deathwing encounter my DXE seems to don't work at all . A team mate got the same problem.
Same problem, since patch 4.3, I have to launch DXE manually... playing on frFR client
Hi,
have a problem with DXE. I have to load every Boss manual.
So first I must load the Raid in the main menue and after that I have to load each boss manual over the Panel.
Normal?
Im having a weird problem... my windows (Panel, radar, etc) doesnt have a background anymore... it really doesnt affect playing, but its a lil annoying.
I need dxe wotlk ! why is it gone?
I was getting a whole mess of LUA errors last night from DXE on the heroic domo encounter. The trash and the encounter itself. Anyone else reporting this problem? If so, any fixes? I love DXE but I had to turn it off last night because it was upwards of 1000+ errors.
The timers for Ragnaros, engulfing flames seemed off (by a few seconds) last night. Is anyone else having these problems, so i can rule out lag.
Thanks in advance.

Is there any way that I can change the time when the timer moves to the center icon bar? I want it to show up on the center anchor at 10 seconds rather than the 5 or so it is set to. What would I have to do to get this? Only thing that bothers me :(
Thanks so much!

TTS announces in the video:
"Stomp cooldown ready"
"New Fragments"
"Lavaline now"
one issue that i'm having is very low volume sound alert, I tried to experiment with sound settings to no avail and I remember it used to be much louder...any advice?
