About DomDomMenu
A simple, yet powerful gui for DomDom (The most insane WoW sound mod available!) If you're installing DomDom or have have installed it, be sure to try this mod.
Usage:
/ddm or /ddmenu or /domdommenu
Display the main window.
Use the search box to look for audio files
or
Use /dds [searchterm] from your console to open DomDomMenu automatically with the searchresults
Click the letters to send the audio message to the corresponding channel
G - Guild
P - Party
B - Battleground
T - Whisper target
R - Raid
You can resize the window by clicking the resize thingy in the bottomright.
And you can also scale the window by using your mousewheel on the frame title.
Of course in order to play the audio files the other users also need to have DomDom installed.
NOTE: This is my first addon ever, so if any developers have tips or improvements pls post them in the comments. Thanks!
Shouts to everyone @ Steel Alliance-Twisting Nether-EU

That's awesome though. I knew someone with more available free might eventually make a GUI. Besides, I didn't have any GUI making experience myself, so that would have just added to the nastiness.
I'm going to give it a try right now. Wohoo!
I've got no problem with coughing up ideas and suggestions. I've always been an idea person myself. I've just never been in the position to have someone who was interested, work on a mod with me. =)
As for making additional sound packs, it genuinely takes a while. I try to get relatively clean and high quality audio files, and that takes some time. And, it also helps when people contribute ideas and sound files to use. Definitely, get your buddies to post suggestions to the DomDom page, and I'll see what I can include.
I still haven't checked out the GUI like I said I would. But, I am trying to get to it this weekend.
At the moment, based on what I am seeing in the screenshot you made, assuming it's representative of the version you posted. Here are my current suggestions:
-There's a v0.1 in the screenshot window, and you call the version of DomDomMenu 1.0. Was that a typo?
-Can you change the "Okay" button for the search field in the gui, to "GO" or "OK" instead. Short of that, my vision was to have a search box that was live responding, meaning as you typed, it displayed the results live. Also, thus, eliminating the need to a "Okay" button altogether. Which I think would be ideal, but depending on how fast the search method that you're using returns results, a live responding search field may or may not be ideal.
-For the sound file Titles. Include the character up to the period just before the file extension. I spelled out all of the sound files as if they were sentences. So, to include a period at the end would read more friendly, and also give the appearance that the Titles weren't accidentally truncated.
-Since, I'm still waiting for the WoW update (never updated to 3.0.2, lol)... Is there a place where what the person is hovering over, shows them what the equivalent slash command would be? Just in case they wanted to use macros? Since, it is a GUI, providing the majority of information about the mod via the GUI would be ideal.
-As for help, you mention usage instructions for the mod on the Curse DomDomMenu page, but it's more beneficial if someone where to have that same Help/How-To-Use information in the GUI usage screen. That way, people don't have to play hunt and peck, just to figure out how to use the mod or bug their friends.
-How about putting an "X" button in the upper right hand corner of the window so people can close the window in an alternate way. That way, if someone happens to be in a different place on the screen, they'll have two choices to close the window, other than the Escape key, which typically works. Again, I'm still waiting for the update to finish downloading. heh heh
-Can you change the order of the transmission types from "G R P W B" to "G R B P W". That way, it's in order in terms of the potential number of recipients of the DomDom sound, from the broadest to the most focused.
-How about a line to randomly play a sound to the "G R B P W" transmission types?
-If you hover over the "G R B P W" does a text box or pop up appear giving more descriptions as to what each transmission type does?
-What if someone wanted to play a sound to themselves using the GUI. I don't see a button for that. Add a pseudo transmission type for that. Perhaps label it as "Y" for "Yourself". =) I.E. "G R B P W Y"
That should keep you busy for a little while. I'll hold off on more suggestions for now. heh heh
So, has the people in your guild noticed how uncanny some of the random sounds can be when you play them to someone else, and how they're often completely appropriate. (Pretty much because everyone verbally harrasses everyone else for fun anyway, DomDom just sort of gives it audio too.)
