About Drunkard Suicide Kings

Now updated for WoD!

A Suicide Kings loot distribution addon created for <Drunkard> of Bloodscalp. That does not mean it won't work perfectly well for your guild.

One of the main design goals of DSK was ease of use. There are no options to configure. It is intended to work right out of the box. Set up a list via importing one or manually creating it and you are ready to distribute loot.


  • Two separate lists (normal loot and armor tokens).
  • Automatically uses the token list for armor tokens.
  • Lists viewable by everyone.
  • Gui interface to bid, roll offspec, or pass on items.
  • Current winner listed in bidding frame.
  • Player's bids, passes, and offspecs listed next to them in the list.
  • Ability to copy of lists into and out of WoW.
  • Automaticly hands out item to the winner on close bid if avaible (highest bidder or roller)


/dsk will open the list frame. There are two lists: normal gear and armor tokens.

In order to manipulate the lists (add, remove, etc), or opening bidding on an item you must be masterlooter in a raid and a guild officer.

To add someone to a list simply target them and select add. They can be moved up or down the list, removed from the list, or murdered (forced suicide) by selecting the player in the list hitting the appropriate button.

To open bidding on an item simply alt click it. This will open the bidding window on everyone's screen (assuming they also have this installed).

To sync the lists. If you are not the masterlooter and hit sync, the masterlooter will broadcast his list to everyone. If you are the masterlooter and hit sync, all of the officers will send you their lists and yours will be updated. Either way lists are only updated if a newer list is received.

To copy a list out of WoW. Go to the I/E List tab. Select the appropriate list and hit Export. Copy and paste the selected list out of WoW.

To copy a list into WoW. Go to the I/E List tab. Put a list in the appropriate format into the box. Select the appropriate list and hit Import. Note: this will erase the current list.


  • An officer is defined by ability to speak in /o. If you can speak in /o you are an officer as far as DSK is concerned.
  • Tier items dropped in the vault will use the normal list. Only the actual armor tokens use the token list.


  • Fix issue with addon sometimes not opening bidding until UI is reloaded.
  • Add a way to undo/revert a list change/suicide.

    Just another question about the addon.

    If we are running 2x10 raids with dsk with all 20 names on it, how should we go about syncing? We appear to be having sync issues after the raid. Is this possible with the addon or do we need to find a workaround for this?

    That is an interesting question. I hadn't really thought about that.

    I don't think it will work correctly because when the list changes it broadcasts it out to the raid. I could make it send it out to the guild which might fix the issue. I'll tinker with think about it and do some tinkering to see if I can make it work.

    Do these two 10 mans run simultaneously?

    Yes, the 10 mans run simultaneously. I'm not sure how I'd go about it, is there some way to log what time a bit of loot drops and is handed out, so there is a timescale of who gets murdered at certain points in the night, then merge at end?

    Currently I do not think simultaneous runs will work correctly. Like I said however, I will look into it and see what can be done. Can't promise a time frame on a fix for it though.

    Good News. I finished already. The problem is it is not the easiest thing for me to test. It is released as an alpha version. You should be able to get it via the curse client by telling it to get the alpha versions or here:

    So, if your guild could test it out for me and see if anything is broken or wonky that would be great.

    This is the basic description of what I changed:

    "List changes now broadcast to guild and raid. This should allow for two or more raids to use the same list at the same time.

    Also the list now broadcasts anytime it changes. Thus the sync functionality while still useful will see less use."

    Roger that, we have a double 10 man planned for Wednesday, so barring any more guildies going into labour we can get it tested!

    Howdy Chief, here's some initial findings. I hope they make sense. There's an accompanying screenshot ( ).

    The night has 2 raid groups running simultaneouly. I am in the raid group along with the other highlighted names such as Feather, Glitched, Orenishii.

    The screenshot was taken after the first 2 bits of loot were distributed in our raid, and the second raid group were still on the boss encounter so no loot allocated from them yet. Prior to the screenshot, players Zenran and Kenkhasken were number 1 & 2 respectively on the list.

    When the loot got allocated to Zenran (he was done first) he got murdered as per normal but only as far as below the bottom member present in our current raid group, instead of all the way to the bottom. Likewise when Kenkhasken was allocated loot, he dropped to the bottom of the raiders present in the current raid group, instead of going to the bottom and bumping zenran up one space.

    A possible knock on effect we encountered was when members of the first raid group moved up a space as a result of someone dropping after getting loot, was that they moved up 1 position relative to raiders in the current group.
    For example, in the screenshot, player Shorq was as position 8 prior to loot getting allocated. After the loot got allocated he should be on position 7, instead he jumped to position 5 on the list. But it's still just one spot upwards relative to the current raid group.

    Those are the issues we encountered so far, if we can supply any more information then I'm more than happy to. Everyone seemed quite stoked that you're going to this trouble to help us out and asked me to pass on their thanks.

    OK cool. I knew that was going to happen. Basically the two lists move independently of each other within the big list. The reason is the addon checks who is in your raid and highlights those names (only the highlighted names will move). To get all names highlighted from both raids will be very tricky and require a massive change/rewrite. So for the time being I hope that this way is ok. I'm not saying I won't implement the highlighting so everyone moves at once, but it won't be soon.

    Is there any way to be able to manage this list without being an officer in the guild? I'm not an officer, but I am the master looter of the raid I am in. (Our guild is so large, we have several 10-man groups that operate independently.) So reading the description, it appears that this add-on is not an option for me, because I can't speak in /o. Is there some tweaking that can be done to override that "feature"?

    No, there is no way to do it without being an officer. There has to be some security or anyone could adjust the list at any time. It is possible that my addon just won't work for your situation. :(

    Feel free to look at the code and try to tweak it to turn this off. I really don't know if it'll work or not.

    Having a problem with this since the 4.0.1 patch and v1.2.3 of DSK.

    The master looter alt-clicks the item to pop the window up on our raiders' UI with the looting options. It seems a few raiders are getting some kind of error, or just not seeing the window pop up, and thus lose out on the option of loot.

    One workaround we found was to list the item for bidding but tell no-one to click any looting option. The item is listed a second time and everyone can see it.

    Everyone assures me they are using the latest version, but I don't have any way of peering over their shoulder to check! I've asked them for a screen or copy-paste of the error. Will update when I get it.

    If you could get the error that would be great. My guild hasn't done a lot of raiding since 4.0. People are just burnt I guess. So, I haven't gotten to test it much myself.
