About Dumpster
Quickly dump things into/out of your bank, mail, trade, and more!
If you ever move a lot of things around, this addon is for you. It's simple to get started, but supports vast options.
/din [qualifiers] stuff - dumps stuff in to your bank
/dout [qualifiers] stuff - dumps stuff out of your bank (and into your inventory)
/dumpster - create sets sets of things to dump
/dumpster help - bring up expanded help
You can dump things based on name, tooltip, item quality (rare, epic, etc), bind status (soulbound or not), or full/partial stacks. For example:
/din frozen orb
/dout of the tiger /boe /green /only 2
/din 5 /to MisterTailor /full frostweave cloth
/din /notbound Dark Leather Gloves /t "Made by Bob"
Several ways to limit the amount of items dumped - make sure there are 5, leave 5 behind, move 5 regardless of how many there are, etc.
Sets can be created that can specify all options, and even include other sets! Then you can do "/din setname" and "/dout setname".
Use Dumpster at the bank, guild bank, mailbox, trade window, or a merchant.

Anyone knows an addon that will work for single items?
Is there a way to make it take out only enough to have x in your inventory?
I have 200 in the bank, I have 28 in my inventory
I want to /dout belt buckle /max 40 or something so it takes out another 12 to top my stacks up. Is that possible? Maybe I missed a command.
Using /dout belt buckle /only 40 - it wants to take out 40 stacks - not 40 buckles.
Using /dout belt buckle /only 2 - it takes out a max of 2 stacks - if theres already 1 full and 1 partial, it takes nothing. if only 1 partial, it takes out another full but doesnt fill the partial.

"/dout 40 belt buckle" would move 40 stacks of belt buckles, regardless of how many you have already.
"/dout /only 40 belt buckle" would make sure there were 40 stacks of belt buckles in your inventory. If you already had 30, it would move 10. If you already have 50, it would do nothing.
"/dout /remain 40 belt buckle" would move all except 40 stacks of belt buckles (making sure 40 remain in your bank)
Dumpster only works on stacks, not individual stackable items (individual items was a TODO that I never finished before I quit the game). What you could do is:
"/din /partial belt buckle" (put all partial stacks in the bank)
"/dout /full /only 2 belt buckle" (make sure you have 2 full stacks)
I recommend StackPack (http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/stackpack) to auto-merge partial stacks.
Dumpster does not support single items, only stacks. But it can tell the difference between a full stack (20/20) and a partial stack (6/20) with /full and /partial. Putting all your partial stacks in the bank and then making sure you have one or two full stacks does about the same as taking out enough to fill up your partial stack.
Start: 200 in bank, 28 in inventory (belt buckle stacks in lots of 20, so 1 full stack and 1 partial stack in inventory)
After putting partial stacks in bank ("/din /partial belt buckle"): 208 in bank, 20 in inventory (1 full stack)
After ensuring we have two full stacks in inventory ("/dout /full /only 2 belt buckle"): 188 in bank, 40 in inventory (2 full stacks).
It's a roundabout way of doing it.
I'm not quite sure that acomplishes what im looking for.
I was just trying to find out if dumpster can or will support taking out single items from a stack, instead of only stacks.
/dout Ebonsteel Belt Buckle /only 2 - this takes out 40 buckles (2 stacks max), not 2 buckles max.
As of the lastest patch 4.2, dumpster no longer dumps everything at once when using it for a guild bank. It will only dump like 7 or 8 stacks at a time, and you have to repeat the /dout command until all of the items are deposited. Seems to only affect guild banks though.
Is there a fix for this by anychance? One of the best features of this addon was ability to take out (or put in) exact amount of stacks at time, and now we have to guesstimate :(.
Yeah I'm having the same problem and if you spam it, you get DC'd
i'm trying to make sure i have one in my bag at all times so i go to my bank and do /dout /only 1 vendor (vendor is the name of the set)
but it dumps a bouquet of black rose and then matches "Black Rose" to the "Bouquet of Black Roses" and doesn't dump one of the single black roses. i've tried re-ordering and stuff having black rose first in the list but it still doesn't work.
Any chance on getting an /exact qualifier?
1. While out of date, as of WOW v4.2.0.14333, it still works if you load out of date addons.
2. Items in sets must be separated with a semicolon (;)
3. The entire list in the set must be on the same line. It can wrap to the next line but you can’t do a hard return (aka carriage return or ). If you do, the item directly following the hard return will not be processed correctly.
Unfortunately the developer for this addon isn’t working on the project anymore as he's stopped playing. However, he was very helpful when I had questions and posted a bug to him.
Now that I have my sets the working, this powerful addon is saving tons of time on my auction house alts. I highly recommend this addon.

to put the outfit in the bank.
Dumpster doesn't consider things you're wearing, so you'd have to take the outfit off before stuffing it in the bank.
I have plans for user-defined sets (for example "/dout tankset", "/dout healinggear") and more options to test against - for example it'd be nice to say "put all equipment in the bank" or "take out all shields" (although this could be done by searching the tooltip - "/dout /t shield").
When I went to the bank with the same command, it worked as expected.
