About Epic Gem List

NEWS

Version 2.20 includes a new feature to scan all guild crafters for gems. This is done in background on loading. While scan is in progress tradeskill activities might not work as expected. Also there might be problems, if you use other tradeskill addons. In this case you can disable scanning with the command line option "/egl gc" or even force a scan with "/egl gcscan", if it wont start by itself. Scanning will be done on login or UI reload only, but online status shown in tooltip will be updated on mouseover. Tell me, if you like this functionality or if you have a workaround for interfering addons.

Overview

List of craftable gems including all new cataclysm gems. Can be grouped by socket color, stat, quality, level and class. Suggestions for all classes and specializations are available also. Favorite gems can be saved in an extra list for each character.

Usage

This addon will attach to minimap and integrates in any action bar supporting ldb (i.e. Titan). You can also start this addon using the slash commands /egl or /epicgemlist. Use shift + click to copy a gem-link to the chat edit box or auction house. Use ctrl + click to save favorite gems. Gem data will be saved in a local database for all chars, settings will be saved separately for each char.

/egl gcscan (force scan of guild crafters)

Notes

First time loading can be a bit slow due to requesting all gem data from server. This also happens if the addon version changes or the wow client gets an update. Further starts should always load gem data from locally saved variables. If you still get freezes with 2.06 and higher, please tell me.

    Tanks for this addon, I use it often :)

    Hint:
    Warriors (&Palas) should use +40 mastery in yellow sockets, but this gem doesnt appear in the EpicGemList for Deff-Warriors. You should change the stat-priority to  Mastery > Parry/dodge.

    Fixed some errors (working for me now), disabled guild scan at startup (responsible for sluggish interface), changed toc for 4.3.0 and added ALL the new epic raid gems Wink

    Bug Report:
    EpicGemList is blocking interface-features from Blizz, when I try to set the blizzard Raid World-Marker (being in a Dungeon-group).

    Blizz shows a frame to disable EpicGemList; after doing this, the setting of worldmarker will work again.

    After the great addons "EpicGemList" and "EpicFootList", are there any plans to develope a "EpicEnchantList"?

    Thanks for your comment. Added this fix in 2.23, but have no time to adjust design right now. Hope this helps and keeps addon usuable.
