About Elkano's BuffBars

EBB provides groups of statusbar style indicators to show (de)buffs currently affecting your char or some other units (currently focus, pet and target). For the player, it can also show indicators for temporary enchants place on it's weapons.

Due to changes Blizzard made with WoW 4.x it's no longer possible to cancel buffs without the use of secure frames. Currently EBB limits canceling of buffs to out-of-fight since using SecureAuraHeader would have required a major code restructuring. This will be coming in a later version.

Version 2.x is a total recode based on the Ace2 framework which became necessary in order to support some of the longtime wanted and suggested features. It's now possible to show different groups of bars which can be configured in many ways. Each group can be assigned an individual look and filter settings. EBB can be configured via a dropdown menu which is accessible via chat (/ebb config), FuBar plugin or (for the group settings) by right clicking the groups anchor. After setting up a group, its anchor can be hidden by alt-left clicking a bar or the anchor itself in order to lock the group in place.

In order to get additional bar textures and fonts for EBB simply install SharedMedia which is available for download under http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/sharedmedia.aspx

    Me too.

I also noticed that none of the links listed in the Addon description are useful. WoWAce Downloads doesn't exists as of WoW patch 3.0 and elkano's wowinterface page doesn't look like it has been updated in over a year.

hmmm the fix didn't fix it - for me...
getting "the archive is either unknown format or damaged"

The current project (Elkano's BuffBars 2.2.2 - r132) contains no files inside the zip.

Love this mod, great work on keeping it up.

Addon works fine so far and is a great one.

Trying to set up a bar (for my druid) which shall show DEBUFFS on TARGET (but only those applied by MYSELF and which are on WHITELIST). Can't figure out how to do this.

At the moment I can see all DEBUFFS on TARGET (which are on WHITELIST) but I can't differ between DEBUFFS provided by myself and DEBUFFS provided by an other druid. Example: I can see my mangle(rank x), but also mangle(rank x), which was applied by an other druid.

    Help would be nice :/..

"In the filter settings for that group, set "Self Cast Buffs" to whitelist. That should work." stupid me
  • #348
haveing problems getting this working. Seems like the menu's are nto updating as I don't see buffs selectable to whitelist and clicking on selection buff/debuff does not effect the "tick" mark but does sometimes update the operation, sometimes now.

    R127 version.

are you having anything special set up?
This shouldn't happen since it's the same code Blizzard uses for the debuff colors :/
anyways, I made a workaround in my current code...

How do you make the anchor re-appear to move the buff bars? I turned it off, but when I logged back in it had moved and I now can't move it back.
  • #345
either alt-leftclick a bar in that group or try the menu accessable via either minimap/fubar button or via /ebb config

Such an obvious thing to do, yet I managed and epic fail :P Thanks for the help (and indeed for making such a good mod)
