About Elkano's BuffBars
EBB provides groups of statusbar style indicators to show (de)buffs currently affecting your char or some other units (currently focus, pet and target). For the player, it can also show indicators for temporary enchants place on it's weapons.
Due to changes Blizzard made with WoW 4.x it's no longer possible to cancel buffs without the use of secure frames. Currently EBB limits canceling of buffs to out-of-fight since using SecureAuraHeader would have required a major code restructuring. This will be coming in a later version.
Version 2.x is a total recode based on the Ace2 framework which became necessary in order to support some of the longtime wanted and suggested features. It's now possible to show different groups of bars which can be configured in many ways. Each group can be assigned an individual look and filter settings. EBB can be configured via a dropdown menu which is accessible via chat (/ebb config), FuBar plugin or (for the group settings) by right clicking the groups anchor. After setting up a group, its anchor can be hidden by alt-left clicking a bar or the anchor itself in order to lock the group in place.
In order to get additional bar textures and fonts for EBB simply install SharedMedia which is available for download under http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/sharedmedia.aspx

a timeleft filter isn't as easy as it may sound in first place. timemax is a static value for the buff and isn't going to change. But timeleft is dynamic so I would have to constantly check the filters and refresh the bargroup's set of bars. So with the current code design don't expect a timeleft filter to show up. sorry.
This posting is made of 100% recycled electrons.
Elkano,
Could you possibly add a timeleft filter? (I see you have min. timemax and max. timemax) I would love to put a new buffbar group in the middle of the screen that would have buff bars appear there when they got close to running out.
Fantastic! I was having exactly the same issue. Perfect solution, thank you :)
The API doesn't tell you which player the de/buff came from. So there is no direct way to set a group to only show those from a specific player.
But theoreticaly the de/buffs caused by you should be the only ones that show up with detailed time information on the target so setting the group to blacklist timeless buffs should work in theory.

I have a Question:
I'm a rogue and I want a bar for my debuff rupture on my target. So I created a new bar and put rupture on the whitelist. Now, the bar shows my rupture on my target, but the rupture of my rogue mates, too. Is there an option, that just my rupture is shown? I couldn't find an option for that.
thx, works fine!
My biggest issue is that normally, the amount of buffs/debuffs/etc showing isn't too bad for solo and 5 mans. But when I'm in a raid...dear lord....the buffs alone can stretch down the screen. Right now I just change the height of the buffs to where I can just barely read them if I squint, but it doesn't really seem like a viable fix.
Other than just turning them off, any suggestions?
I really do love this addon (Have been using it since.. well, seems like forever) and have found it invaluable. Thank you for sharing it with the world Elkano.
The only thing (Honestly!) I'd love to see added as a feature would be a "mouseover" feature for keeping frames hidden otherwise. I've 4 sets of bars up on each of my toons, and they really can start to stack up to take a lot of real estate.
Minor frustration though.. I LOVE this addon and thank you again
yeah not working for me with new patch either.
I am experianceing the same thing
There's a problem with LibAbacus, all you have to do is change all instances of COPPER, SILVER and GOLD to COPPER_AMOUNT, SILVER_AMOUNT and GOLD_AMOUNT in Addons\ElkBuffBars\libs\Abacus-2.0\Abacus-2.0.lua to get it working again.
Note: If you use cartographer, you're going to get the same errors there.
As much as I love this add-on, I've ran into a bit of a problem. After the servers came back up, and I downlouded the new 15MB patch, I logged in to find that the buff bars arn't working. I downloaded the newest version and nothing. I had to allow Blizzards Original ugly buff's so I can tell whenever I have a curse worth decursing myself for(since I am a mage). Do you know of anyone else who has ran into this problem? And if so, how is it fixed? Thanx.
Ya p, same thing here. Shows it's running but the bars are not showing up anywhere on the screen. Hope it gets updated soon. Don't really like the idea of trying a new one. Love this one.....
yay, glad i'm not the only one .... i miss it already ;)
I hope it is going to get fixed soon
