First I love this add on. Good job and thank you very much for it.

I have used this before in XP and using Wine in Ubuntu, never had an issue. I just recently re-installed XP and did a clean install of WoW and all the add ons. For some reason Epicmusicplayer does not want to play any music in my playlist (common playlist) However it does play the game music fine. These are the same songs I used before.

I have the sound channels at max. Turned off loop, etc. The only difference between before and now is my 3D card. I was using an Nvidia 8400 GS and now I am using an Nvidia GT 220. I have all video settings and sound maxed out except for shadows in the video settings. That is only one click above the lowest.

I looked through the comments here and didn't see anything, unless I just missed it. Any ideas on what I can do? Blizz did have a minor update of some sort today, so I have no idea if it is that or something to do with mu software/hardware setup.

When i use this addon it raises my ms by almost 400. Any way to fix this?
  • #698
How do i lower the volume? Like in the game it says 100% when i click the gear but when i click it again it goes to 0. Is there an option to go around 70%??
  • #702
Use your scroll wheel over the text of the GUI or plugin to adjust the music volume. Hold down the control button while scrolling to adjust the sound volume. Hold down the alt button to fine adjust (+/- 1%).

I just downloaded this addon and created a few playlists. However, when I went to use it in-game I could not hear the music and when I opened the playlist menu, I only got an empty black square, no options or text whatsoever. How is this fixed?

I love this mod and use it religiously. It's easily the best mp3 player mod I've used in the amount of CPU used as well as pure functionality. However in dungeons I've run into a slight issue. On a pull of 3 or more mobs the music stops. I'm thinking I may be able to tweak the in-game sound settings to fix this problem but so far the solution has eluded me. Is there any way to fix this? Figured I'd come straight to the guy who made this for the answer. :P

High (Maximum) Also try to enable/disable hardware sound. But when lots of sounds are played (raid instance fights) the problem still may occur.

Post in this thread at the WoW forum to get this fixed.http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=23767645591&sid=1:

Works great on most of my mp3s, But some of them will play for 30ish seconds and then no sound ...
  • #693
First, the addon is nice. I like that it is light-weight and has it's own playlist manager. Great job.

My only problem may be something that I'm just missing, but in game, while playing a song, I can right click and choose "Remove Song" and sometimes it will just remove another song at random instead of the one I am listening to. Is there any way to correct this? In either case, it's not a big deal, I just use the manager to remove items, but the convenience of removing them when listening if one happens to be in the list still was a nice feature for me.

    Thanks. :)
  • #694
Well, I think I've found a pattern to it. It seems to happen when in shuffle mode if I hit next to start playing a song. Once the song is playing, if I try to remove it, it will remove a different song.

However, if I go to the playlist and click the song I want to remove to start it playing from there and remove it using the same right click menu from the player gui, it works.

Not sure if this will help or not, but at least I've found a consistent way to remove songs from my playlist.

    Thanks, I'll look into it:)
