About ErrorFilter

About ErrorFilter

Are you fed up with the silly errors that spam your screen? Want to get rid of "Not enough rage" or "Not enough energy"? Then you have come to the right place. ErrorFilter manages the errors that are displayed in the blizzard UIErrorsFrame. It can be set to hide the ErrorFrame completely, drop all errors or filter the messages and discard those selected.

Slash Commands

Use "/erf" or "/ErrorFilter" to open the options menu.

Here you can select the operation mode and change the errors that are filtered.

You'll have to add a custom error filter. Take a look here if you don't know how.

  • #95

I'm glad to see you are currently updating it.  I love this addon!

5x ErrorFilter\ErrorFilter-v2.4.2-4-gab3b8cd.lua:10: Usage: EmbedLibrary(addon, libname, silent, offset): "libname" - Cannot find a library instance of "LibSink-2.0".

The \ErrorFilter\Libs\LibSink-2.0 folder is messed up. It was a fairly obvious fix once I looked at it, you just had a recursive LinSink-2.0 folder in there.

Thank you for the report. Latest alpha build should work.

  • #92

I added LibSink to ErrorFilter. You can now choose the output from the options. Please disable ErrorMonster and try the alpha version: http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/errorfilter/files/ Let me know if it works as you like.

  • #90

Is there any way to make this work with ErrorMonster or to add similar functionality to change the output frame for errors?  There are some errors I don't want to turn off and for those I would love to be able to direct them to MSBT the way ErrorMonster does... but if I enable both addons this one just outputs to the normal raid frame regradless.

  • #91

There is no output frame option yet. But you're not the first to ask for it so I'll look into this when I get the time during the next days.

  • #85

is there any way to set it that it filters EVERYTHING but the quest log part ???

  • #86

Type /erf to bring up the options panel. Select "Filter all errors".

  • #89

I just tested in MOP beta and it works fine for me. I'm willing to investigate more so please send me a PM to tell me what ErrorFilter version you have. Also please paste the contents of you config file ErrorFilter.lua found in \World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\<Account Name>>\SavedVariables\

that works for half the gay red lines that show up :)

like it still says not enough holy power or cannot attack that target or that thing is already dead ?

hmmm maybe i am asking for to much .. idk :)

  • #82

I had this a while back and loved it. Recently started up wow again. Started fresh installing all addons from scratch, and this addon does not work at all. It is enabled and I can access the options, but everything that is enabled for filtering is still showing up.

I am not getting any UI errors either, can't figure out what is wrong.

EDIT: After a bit of looking around I found that another addon of mine was controlling the errors.

Great addon, works just as intended!

Noticed, purely by coincidence, that there is no way to turn off the error: "target is too low level" (saw it when I accidentally tried to cast Guardian Spirit on a low level NPC). Not that I need it at all, just thought I'd point that out :)

    I'm glad you like it!

You can add any text you like to the list of filtered messages. Check the options menu '/erf', go to 'Filter only' submenu and add your text in the field at the top of the options menu, then press Enter.
