About Fishing Buddy

Fishing Buddy
-------------

A fishing addon that keeps track of the fish you catch and helps manage your fishing gear.

Features:
- Double-click fishing
- Supports the new WoW "fish without a pole" feature
- Bring out your fishing pets! Drink heavily!
- 'Fish Watcher' lets you see the fish you've caught here before (or the fish that you've caught in the current session)
- Display your current skill level and the time since you started fishing
- Choose your fishing outfit and change into it easily
- Support for automatically adding a lure to your fishing pole
- Support for tracking 'cycle fish' such as the Nightfin Snapper so you know when to go looking for them

Example commands:
/fishingbuddy or /fb
toggle the display of the Fishing Buddy window
/fb help
print the list of Fishing Buddy commands
/fb switch
wear your chosen fishing outfit, or change back

Silly stuff:
In addition to displaying the fishing bonus for your fishing outfit, it also displays your 'style points' as inferred from Draznar's Fishing FAQ (http://wow.toshimo.com/viewtopic.php?t=272).

Installation
------------

1. Unzip the 'FishingBuddyVERSION.zip' file
2. If your unzip program allows you to specify a location, then unzip it into the 'Interface/AddOns' folder contained in your WoW folder (the location that WoW was installed)
3. If your unzip program doesn't let you specify the destination, then find your WoW folder (where it was installed) and drag the 'FishingBuddy' folder into the 'Interface/AddOns' folder.

    - Change the way we check for the loot window being open since the events seem to be an issue
    - Handle auto loot internally instead of messing with the UI setting

     Hopefully the change in trying no to cast while the Loot Window is up (which can interrupt looting) will also fix the "stop casting" issue. FB now handles the looting itself, which should fix the issue with "sticky" auto loot settings.

    I got this error while looting the "Swine Belly" for the cooking daily.  I wasn't fishing and didn't have a pole equiped.  After this error the easy cast stopped working until I reloaded the UI.

    Posting this in case this helps the author fix the easycast bug.  I just had something weird happen with FB....

    I have multiple characters where FB easycast isn't working.  Today, I logged on one I don't fish on normally to do DMF stuff.  He had 95 fishing skill and I equiped his fishing pole and easycast worked.  Surprised, I skilled up to 96, 97 and 98, at which point I got the "100 Fish" achievement.  After the achievement landed, I stopped being able to easycast.

    Hope this helps!

    [Edit:  I did a /reloadui after posting this and easycast came back.  This fix doesn't work on any of my other toons, but it worked for this one for some reason and it's still working (for now).]

    Is there a way to expand how many companion pets show up in the list for which ones to have out while fishing? I would like to use my Phoenix Hatchling, but the list only goes down to Hawk Owl.

    Do any of you that say that easy cast isn't working have SpellFlash installed?

    My Easy Cast wasn't working, but I also had some issues with SpellFlash. This resulted in me deleting the SpellFlash.lua file in the WTF folder. After this, my SpellFlash issues and my Easy Cast issues was gone.

    My Easy Cast breaks all the time too. Usually I have to relog to get it to work, or sometimes just re-equip my Rod. And now the Force Sound option isn't working either.
