Found this somwhere on the official forums months ago:

    1. Make a folder called Fonts
    2. Put folder in the following directory structure: C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Fonts\
    3. Find font(s) you want.
    4. Change font name(s):

Find four different fonts, or create four copies of the font file of your choice, place them in the above folder, and rename them to the following names:
? FRIZQT__.ttf (the main UI font: NPCs names; buffs, etc)
? ARIALN.ttf (the normal number font)
? skurri.ttf (the 'huge' number font)
? MORPHEUS.ttf (Mail, Quest Log font)

    5. Put those renamed fonts in the Fonts folder
    6. Log in. Enjoy.

Note: .TTC fonts will not work with WoW. They need to be converted into .TTF fonts for them to be recognized and read by WoW.

While this still works and is definitely a good alternative, one of the 3 fonts is too big at its default. I was hoping your advice would make it so I'd never have to use a font addon again, but I searched everywhere for a console command that would reduce a specific font's size and couldn't find one. The only ones I found were for the drop down menu (/console font /console fontsize /console fontcolor... And even those commands doesn't seem to work anymore).

If anyone happens to figure out the commands I'm looking for, please let me know!

Can you separate the damage font from the Standard font ?
  • #50
Can you please sir update this addon, and add support for the new friends/real id screen?

You are the last remaining font addon.

Help me Gnack you are my only hope.

I added my own fonts to the custom.lua they show up in game on the list but I cant get the fonts to change in WoW.

Great addon - finally replaced ClearFont :)

Is there an issue with Raid Warnings? They're seeming to display very pixelated now.
  • #47
I believe this to be an issue with how the game displays large warning text (starts out small, scales larger). Some fonts highlight this issue more than others. I'm investigating possible workarounds.

Nice one - seems to be the same with all the different fonts I use but they scale up ok everywhere else. I'll check back :)

Great Addon, but could use a few more options-- I.E. Seperate fonts for various things (NPC names being one, but the text for the Character Frame being another).
  • #42
I changed the font size in game and the font size is updated immediately. However, when I quit the game (not just go back to character selection page) and enter again, the font size returns to the original size (the size without this addon). Does anybody have the same issue?

    Thanks.

Can you try enabling only Fontifier and making the change? There may be a conflict with another addon you have installed.
  • #44
I find that LibSharedMediaCallback is never called because I am using zhTW client so the fonts are not actually registered to the library. Now I add Update() to OnInitialize to solve the problem.

It seems like using Custom.lua isn't working

Verana Sans had quite the fan base, it seems! It's been added back as a built-in custom font. This will add the font back into the game and also give those adding their own fonts an example to look at. See Readme.html for more information.

Thank you! I followed the instructions in the Readme file and had my own fonts up and running on no time. Great work!
