About FuBar_RecountFu

A FuBar plugin to show Recount.

(Need the Broker version that has even more features? See here for details!)

The original version of this addon was simply intended to provide a convenient FuBar icon from which the main window for the Recount addon could be shown/hidden by a simple toggle-click and a handy drop-down menu from which to access the main menu options of Recount.

From this basic starting point, other contributors have added additional features to allow the addon to display information read from the meters in the plugin's toolbar text and a summary of additional information in the plugin's tooltip available when the user hovers the cursor over the plugin's FuBar icon.

Until such a time as Recount might provide its own FuBar plugin functionality, this addon is available to all users of Recount who wish to access its functionality from their FuBar menu-bars.

Grateful thanks from the original author is freely given to all those who have helped extend and improve this addon by the addition of new features or the fixing and troubleshooting of existing features.

    For those looking for either a 'Broker' compatible version of this addon or the ability to display healing data (as requested many many moons ago), a ground-up rewrite of this addon has taken place and been published as "Broker_RecountFu" - note that the 'Fu' part at the end of the name is notional because this new addon does not require FuBar... although you can use it with FuBar if you have the Broker2FuBar addon as well.

    There's an error in the .toc or folder naming:

    The folder "DewdropLib-2.0" (under FuBar_RecountFu\libs\) should simply be "Dewdrop-2.0".

    Either that, or change the reference in the FuBar_RecountFu.toc file to libs\DewdropLib-2.0\Dewdrop-2.0.lua.

    Clicking on the Fubar icon used to show and hide Recount, how can I get this back?

    It's a problem with FuBar not being updated for 4.0.1 yet, not a problem with FuBar_RecountFu.

    I finally abandoned FuBar for ChocolateBar, and got Broker_Recount to replace this.

    Broker_Recount does not provide anywhere near the same functionality that FuBar_RecountFu here does, so its not a real replacement.

    All Broker_Recount does is open the Recount window (or options panel) to the last section you had selected before it closed. That's it.

    Major things its missing that FuBar_RecountFu provides: allowing opening Recount to any specific stat section you want, chosen from a dropdown menu. That saves *tons* of time and its why I'm still using FuBar_RecountFu. You don't have to flip through endless Recount sections trying to find what you want. It also provides a choice of DPS stats its bar text (would be nice to have a choice of healing, etc. as requested below, though). And so on.

    The good news: if you have switched to a modern LDB display mod (like ChocolateBar, Bazooka, StatBlockCore or so on), RecountFu still works just fine with them. Unfortunately, have to do a bit of work first.

    After deleting FuBar, you need the following mods installed: "FuBar2Broker" & "FuBar replacement for FuBar2Broker" (both here on Curse; if you are skilled, you could also make the second one yourself as its just a TOC file).

    Finally, need to edit the TOC file of FuBar_RecountFu here and remove the "## LoadOnDemand: 1" line (if you don't, it will fail to load).

    After doing that, FuBar_RecountFu will work perfectly with any LDB display of your choosing.

    But here's hoping Broliant will make a true LDB version of this mod sometime with the same/similar functionality. There have been many FuBar & LDB Recount-openers released in the past, but nothing so far is as good as FuBar_RecountFu.

    This works! Thank you :)

    But after i did this, my Fubar_PerformanceFu failed.
    It became load on demand and I have to load it every time i want to
    see my memory usage. Do you know how to fix this problem?

    I had this add before and it worked fine, I changed comps and now it won't work. I DL through the client, but in my addon menu it says dependency missing. what do I do?
