About GatherCounter

GatherCounter is a simple tool for displaying the current amount of selected items in a list, i.e. while farming. You can add nearly( because I haven't tested ^^) all items for observation, from largest amounts of chilled meat till the smallest lvl1 poor quality item, as long as it is in your cache which is a restriction made by Blizzard.
I missed a tool like this while farming ores, herbs and relics of ulduar, found none fitting and wrote one. Perhaps there is someone out there who is looking for such a tool, too.

has this addon been abandoned? been seeing quirks with it since patch 4.2 such as icons listing as unknown on mouse over or showing up oddly(example: ffffffffStormvine). Mejloc shows having been inactive for 8 months now.

I have tried to install this addon a couple of times now, but i can't realy get it to work for me. I can manualy add a item through text command, and thats it, no moving the button or dropping items on the button to add them. Otherwise realy a nice addon.

Yeah, thanks and I'm sorry. Missed that 4.0.1 broke this addon by removing the "this" keyword, therefore no moving and comfortable adding of items.
So i sat down and fixed it. The new version will be up in a couple of hours, it has "Needs approval" status atm.

i was hoping that you would beable to add a function that i have not been able to find anywhere else but on the addon carbonite, found at carboniteaddon .com it is the warehouse addon which keeps track and displayes every item you have in your bags and bank for every toon nomatter which toon you are on when you mouse over the item it brings up the name of who has the item and where it is bag (bank) in the same box as teh item description...well if you could do something like that it would be AWESOME. thnx, have a great day and keep up the good work

Arkinventory does have this function. If you have it enabled on all your toons, it will keep track of all your bags and bank on all toons. So as soon as you hover over an item in your bag, it will show you the amount on all toons as soon as you have once let the addon scan the bags and banks.

In addition, i will have a look at it and perhaps i will add a function to show how many of a tracked item my alts have in their bags. I didnt came up with this because i'm running both addons side by side.

There is also this addon: FarmIt

    http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/farm-it.aspx

I've been using it for a couple years now works flawlessly. You can also have it count not only the items in your bags but also how many of those items you have in your bank.

You can also set a "goal" for each item such as "I need 20 Chilled Meats" so you enter 20 for the goal and if you started with zero it would be the goal number would be red and the closer you got to your goal it would turn to green.

FarmIt does NOT work with patch 4.0.1 or later. Author claims to have a new version in the works, but no Alpha/Beta version available.

This is a great addon, makes farming much easier.
    Thanks for the great work!

omg I LOVE this, I have been wanting a way to track all those items that you have to collect but don't show up in quest counters due to how the trackers work, ores, cloth, skins, etc.. LOVE IT!

I really love this Addon, could you perhaps add the ability to re size the icons, the #'s are fine but it is difficult to see the individual items sometimes.
