About GatherMate2

GatherMate2 is an addon to collect and track herbs, mines, fishing pools, gas clouds, archaelogy finds and treasures, and displays them on the world map and the mini map.

GatherMate will remember the location of every herb you pick or every ore you mine, so that you can easily find the positions of the herbs and mines again. Once you come into range of a recorded spot, GatherMate will show an icon representing the type of herb/ore/fish/etc. on your mini map, directly allowing you to decide if its worth checking out. Additionally, all spots are shown on the World Map, to ease navigation to certain types of nodes and making gathering more fun.

To give you a head start, GatherMate2 also offers a pre-filled data module, so you don't need to discover all herbs and mines yourself, but instead can just start gathering right away. Simply install GatherMate2_Data and hit a few buttons to import all the provided data, and you're good to go.

Using GatherMate2 is straight-forward.
After the installation, GatherMate2 is automatically active and collecting data.

You can configure which data should be shown on the World Map or MiniMap in the Configuration Dialog, which can be accessed either via the /gathermate slash command or be found in the Interface options in the WoW Menu.

    i noticed below that someone asked if it will tell you where to find golden lotus in the future. while the reply to that was understandable for that spacific rare herb it wouldn't be a unreasonable request to have the ability in game to search for the zone with highest # of nodes for a spacific herb.

    the reason i deleted gatherer  to use this is the additional wowhead data import and the routes addon to make the best use of farming time but the one thing gatherer did have was the ability to locate the best spot simply by typing a name.

    if someone is maxed on herbalism but decide to go back and make an old potion or maybe ink for a glyph the book tells you what you need but not the place to go to find it. looking at the world map is one option but it requires going from zone to zone on possibly 5 continants.

    So I changed the Minimap Icon Scale to .37 and this works great because I can now see the "bread crumbs" and the actual nodes on the minimap.

    Everytime i log in, Gathermate2 gives error messages. Im about to delete it if it cannot be resolved. TYVM for all your assistance.

    CanĀ“t get marks at minimap

    I recently learned herbalism and when I was going to level up this skill, I couldn´t get those green blinking dots at my minimap which indicates there the herbs is. But when I log in at my mining char the dots appears. Any solution of this problem? :/

    EDIT: I got herbalism at my horde character and I wanted to have herbalism at my alliance character too. When I log in at my horde herb, I could see the dots appear at my minimap but I can´t get it to work at my alliance character :(

    I recently changed a character's talent from leatherworking to mining. I can get mining nodes to show up on the maps but spawn points are not lit up and the ore nodes do not sparkle as they do for two other toons that also mine.

    I uninstalled gathermate2 and the data and reinstalled it with no success in correctly the problems mentioned above. I also checked to make sure the game setings were the same for all three toons that mine.  Is this a WOW issue or a gathermate2 issue?

    Is there a chance to release one that tells you where to find the (Herbalism) Golden Lotus's are?

    I dont think its very likely to update for specific rare herb like Golden Lotus, as it can be a rare spawn from any herb node in Pandaria.  Last I checked you can now randomly pick a Golden Lotus (without the extra bonus loot buff) while picking any herb.  There are still Golden Lotus spawns (that do give the loot buff) but they are pretty rare and still quite random where they will spawn.

    Great addon. Cuts the time needed to actually have to search-and the possibility of missing a resource alltogether.

    I think it's broken for 5.4.7

    Whenever I gather something the green circle appears on top of my character, but when I walk away the circle just stays in the same place on my minimap and doesn't move away from my character when I move. (could just be me?)

    recently install this addon but when i gather a herb dont show it in map or minimap, i have esMX client, any advice?

    there are so many nodes on my mini map but i can only find a few in game. Whats wrong?
