About GatherMate2

GatherMate2 is an addon to collect and track herbs, mines, fishing pools, gas clouds, archaelogy finds and treasures, and displays them on the world map and the mini map.

GatherMate will remember the location of every herb you pick or every ore you mine, so that you can easily find the positions of the herbs and mines again. Once you come into range of a recorded spot, GatherMate will show an icon representing the type of herb/ore/fish/etc. on your mini map, directly allowing you to decide if its worth checking out. Additionally, all spots are shown on the World Map, to ease navigation to certain types of nodes and making gathering more fun.

To give you a head start, GatherMate2 also offers a pre-filled data module, so you don't need to discover all herbs and mines yourself, but instead can just start gathering right away. Simply install GatherMate2_Data and hit a few buttons to import all the provided data, and you're good to go.

Video about configuring this addon.

Using GatherMate2 is straight-forward.
After the installation, GatherMate2 is automatically active and collecting data.

You can configure which data should be shown on the World Map or MiniMap in the Configuration Dialog, which can be accessed either via the /gathermate slash command or be found in the Interface options in the WoW Menu.

Ok so I am having a problem.

    I use gathermate2 and gathermate2_data.

When I import data nothing apears on my map.

I have it set to show nodes only when tracking.

Yes, I have the appropriate tracking turned on.

Got small problem with cleanup after import, all nodes dissapear ;) Default settings but still almost all nodes dissapear.

**slaps forhead** SEVERAL times!!  Problem fixed.  I activated track ore. lol

    1) how to keep nodes from showing up in my garrison?

    2) how to keep Outland Shadowmoon nodes from appearing in WoD (other than deselecting the node types of Fel Iron, etc)?

Should be a FAQ on the first question, IMO. Haven't found anything on the first few pages of comments. Thx.

EDIT: lemme guess - the garrison nodes are in the mine?

I know this is probably a damn stupid question but, when I get or complete a quest.. a map pops up on my screen and it annoys me no end.. how do I disable that in my settings ?

I am VERY new to WoW (2nd official day) and LOVE this addon and want to thank all those responsible for it.

Is there a HUD for this addon? I need a HUD.

  • #848

I use SexyMap for that purpose. It has a HUD option that isn't quite as good as GatherHUD (abandoned), but it works.

  • #844

If anyone is having issues with Tanaan tracking circles that won't show on SexyMap, I found a fix. I went to the addons menu in-game, and disabled SexyMap. I then reloaded the UI with the button on the addons menu. Once it reloaded, I re-enabled SexyMap, and then reloaded my UI again. Herb and ore tracking circles are now showing on my minimap. I haven't tested fishing yet, been too busy so far.

Edit: I have to do this every night when I initially fly to Tanaan for dailies. I don't know which addon to submit a ticket to. Anyone have any suggestions?

Edit 2: This issue has nothing to do with SexyMap. I have the same issue with the default minimap as well. Simply reloading my UI resolves it. I'll submit a ticket once I run some more tests.

I have the same problem, active nodes don't show on my mini-map. I have empty circles all the time.  I'll try what you did to fix,.

  • #842

Since patch 6.2 nothing is showing inside the circles, even when there is a herb there :(   Anyone else having this? I imported new gathermate 2 data and everything?

    Just me, then? :(

  • #845

You shouldn't see anything unless there is a harvestable node there. If you aren't seeing the yellow dot  either, make sure that "track herbs" isn't off for some reason.

  • #841

Never mind. new patch from Blizzard seemed to fix the problem..

  • #840

I just received an update via Curse and installed it.  I didn't see any change so I looked at Add-ons.. Blizzard still says it's out of date.  6/29/15 2:30 PM PDT
