About GatherMate2

GatherMate2 is an addon to collect and track herbs, mines, fishing pools, gas clouds, archaelogy finds and treasures, and displays them on the world map and the mini map.

GatherMate will remember the location of every herb you pick or every ore you mine, so that you can easily find the positions of the herbs and mines again. Once you come into range of a recorded spot, GatherMate will show an icon representing the type of herb/ore/fish/etc. on your mini map, directly allowing you to decide if its worth checking out. Additionally, all spots are shown on the World Map, to ease navigation to certain types of nodes and making gathering more fun.

To give you a head start, GatherMate2 also offers a pre-filled data module, so you don't need to discover all herbs and mines yourself, but instead can just start gathering right away. Simply install GatherMate2_Data and hit a few buttons to import all the provided data, and you're good to go.

Usage

Using GatherMate2 is straight-forward.
After the installation, GatherMate2 is automatically active and collecting data.

You can configure which data should be shown on the World Map or MiniMap in the Configuration Dialog, which can be accessed either via the /gathermate slash command or be found in the Interface options in the WoW Menu.

    I installed Gathermate2 and it shows all the nodes on both maps but I can find very few deposits on the actual landscape when I fly over. what am I doing wrong?

    Is there any chance of having a 'HUD' feature similar to that other mod I shall not name? It is the only feature I miss after switching to Gathermate. The rest of the mod works great & as expected, just that one thing, having to keep opening my map to see the nearest nodes of there are none in sight on my mini map.

    I'm having a bug here, not sure if it's only when using the portuguese language or not.

    When I fish in Terokkar Forest a "Brackish Mixed School" (Called "Cardume Misto Salobre" in the Portuguese version), the location is registered but the name that appears as I hover my mouse over the icon is "REMOVIDO NA PATCH 2.4" (Which would translate to "REMOVED ON PATCH 2.4").

    Is that a known bug?

    Addon ability request

    I love the addon, it's super useful, but was wondering if there's a chance of having a map button for it, or have I missed the option setting for this?

    I don't mean the minimap button, but a button on the big map. When I press M and the interface comes up, two other buttons are already there for tracking mob paths, and it'd be great to have one there to easily turn on and off the nodes so I can see things on the map easily without having to manually bring up the interface and turning it off and on.

    Can anyone confirm that they have archeology nodes show up in their mini map of hud in Draenor?

    I'd like to figure out why it's not working for me.

    I assume you mean after you gather nodes? Currently there is no import data for WOD archaology(something I hope to rectify after I get done compiling the fishing nodes). Are you using any other mods? have you tried turning them all off and gathered nodes after?

    Please fix the localizations here if you confirmed them ingame:

    The existing localizations are contributed by other users, and no guarantee is provided about their accuracy.

    Your assumption is correct. I meant the little circles that show up at the position of an archaeology node after collecting it.

    I found the bug in GatherMate2 localisation and fixed it.

    I had tried turning off a couple of addons to no avail. Just to make sure I tried again, this timing turning off all addons and then turning them back on again one by one. That didn't change anything, but to test it I had to move around to new kinds of dig sites and it turned out that Draenor Clans Archaeology Find worked but Arakkoa Archaeology Find didn't work so I checked German localisation.

    GatherMate2-deDE.lua line 220 says:

    NL["Arakkoa Archaeology Find"] = "Archäologischer Arakkoa Fund"

    "Archäologischer Arakkoa Fund" is wrong. It should say "Archäologischer Fund der Arakkoa". I corrected the text in GatherMate2-deDE.lua and that fixed the problem.

    Line 377 is also wrong.

    GatherMate2-deDE.lua NL["Ogre Archaeology Find"] = "Archäologischer Oger Fund"

    doesn't work because "Archäologischer Oger Fund" should be "Archäologischer Ogerfund"

    When I open omegamap view and put the cursor on a mining spot, I have this error :

    I am trying to use this addon solely for the purpose of archaeology. Is it possible to have the nodes only show up when im in the corresponding digsite? Also I cant get the nodes to show up at all on the minimap which is the only point of having the mod for me. Any help from anyone would be great. I do already have it in options so it should show up on minimap but it just doesnt.

    In regards to ARCHAOLOGY, those of you with MINMAL ARCHAOLOGY addon, it is causing an issue where nodes are being saved to the world map instead of the current map. advise discontinue use of minimal archaology addon until fixed.

    Still no draenor artifact pins except clans of draenor.

    Is this going to get fixed soon?
