About GatherMate2

GatherMate2 is an addon to collect and track herbs, mines, fishing pools, gas clouds, archaelogy finds and treasures, and displays them on the world map and the mini map.

GatherMate will remember the location of every herb you pick or every ore you mine, so that you can easily find the positions of the herbs and mines again. Once you come into range of a recorded spot, GatherMate will show an icon representing the type of herb/ore/fish/etc. on your mini map, directly allowing you to decide if its worth checking out. Additionally, all spots are shown on the World Map, to ease navigation to certain types of nodes and making gathering more fun.

To give you a head start, GatherMate2 also offers a pre-filled data module, so you don't need to discover all herbs and mines yourself, but instead can just start gathering right away. Simply install GatherMate2_Data and hit a few buttons to import all the provided data, and you're good to go.

Video about configuring this addon.

Using GatherMate2 is straight-forward.
After the installation, GatherMate2 is automatically active and collecting data.

You can configure which data should be shown on the World Map or MiniMap in the Configuration Dialog, which can be accessed either via the /gathermate slash command or be found in the Interface options in the WoW Menu.

Also having the issue with icons sliding on the minimap. They also slide on Archeo Helper's HUD, and Farm HUD. I went so far as to delete all my old gathermate folders, deleted the saved variables, and started fresh, but still had the same problem.

So I was going to write this comment tonight, and logged on to see if I could narrow it down to a mod conflict. I disabled everything except for GM2, relogged, and wasn't having any sliding icons. Completely convinced that it must be a mod conflict, I loaded my usual set of gathering mods, only to find that I didn't have sliding icons AT ALL anymore. I tried zoning, changing the minimap zoom, reloading UI, logging out and back in, it seemed like it was fixed. So I tried logging into another character, and I had the sliding icons again. I decided to try unloading everything but GM2 on my second character, and while that fixed it on the first character, it did not fix it this time.

I'm totally stuck and clueless. It's fairly unpredictable when it is and is not going to work correctly. Not a gripe, though, I really appreciate your work in keeping this mod up to date. It helps a lot of people, myself included. If I can do anything at all to help narrow down this problem, just let me know.

Same problem over here with the icons sliding around on the minimap. From what I can tell, it's acting like the minimap is completely zoomed in regardless of whether or not it actually is (it isn't). When I approach a node, the circle slides toward me. Sometimes relogging helps, but sometimes it doesn't.'

Edit for epic failures in clarity and finishing sentences. Yikes.

I aswell am having the sliding issue sometimes.
It seems to be random and changes from working to not working properly in the middle of sessions.

Same problem that others are having with the circles sliding across the minimap. I was in Uldum and I just default installed GM2 and GM2 Data

    Does not have /gathermate command

  • #493

It seems that archeology finds in The Cursed Landin (Uldum) are not registered. The entire area is free of finds and new finds are not logged.

    What version are you using?

Many, but not all, nodes on my map and minimap are solid and black squares behind them, and when I fly over something, it is not turning into the circle that shows the node inside or not. Is this possibly a change with ElvUI or is it something anyone else has noticed? Thanks!

This is actually because of Tukui & ElvUI Extra Skin.  When i disabled the square minimap buttons it no longer happened, though it also worked when i just disabled the addon.

I am having the same issue.

I am using ver 1.18, and am using ElvUI as well.

    Error loading _Data

I found the problem with the loading errors and Import functionality not working.  For me it was manifesting as AceAddon-3.0 errors.  Cannot find Gathermate2_Data addon

The first line of the Gathermate2_Data.toc file is corrupt.  Mine was "Interfac5: 0.14300"    or something like that.  I chnaged it to "Interface: 50001" and now it loads with no erros and Import works properly.

I'm not sure what's going on, but I have both GM2/GM_D and it's not giving me anything at all to import, both tabs at the top are completely greyed out.
