GDKPd beta-15b is packaging as I write this. It will fix both the history deletion issue and improve (hopefully) the per-item setting interface (remember to press Enter to confirm - I couldn't reproduce the issue reported earlier. If you get Lua errors, please provide them.)

I put a wowace ticket in but didn't get any feedback so im gonna post it here:

What steps will reproduce the problem?
    1. Do a run, reset and save.
    2. Click on the run to open the (export, delete, cancel) window.
    3. While this and the history browser window are open, click in the browser window.
    4. This deletes the history for the selected one, which is extremely annoying when trying to export and save every run.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Either re pop the window thats already open, switch to the other saved one or do nothing.

What version of the product are you using?
    1.2.0

Do you have an error log of what happened?
    Nope.

Please provide any additional information below.
I can recreate this every time, atleast on my end. If it helps i use curse client to update addons.

The ticket tracker is used by so few users that I actually rarely check it (and don't have it set to notify me if new tickets are posted). Sorry about that.

As for your issue, I'm fairly certain I know what the problem is. I'll get it fixed right away.

I am having an issue with setting up per item id minimum bid settings.  I run 397 gear at 3000g, but tier at 5000g.  It seems like the box itself when trying to add per item id info is lacking or I am just missing it.  When you open it up there is little to not info in there, and no boxes to enter information.  You can find a little "check box" in the upper left hand corner, and when you click on it, you can enter the item id.  When you do that though, it just puts an icon up in the same previous window with the icon of the item ID you just entered and you can hover over to make sure its correct.  After doing that there isn't anything else available to see there.  You have to randomly click to the right of it until you get a cursor that allows you to type in the minimum bid and then to the right of that you randomly click to get another cursor to enter the minimum increment.  If you are successful in even getting that far, there is no way to "save" the information you just entered, and when you do try and post the auction it just reverts back to the minimum bid you have setup.  There were LUA errors that popped up when I had all my addons on, however I removed all addons and only turned on GDKPD and it didn't give the LUA errors, but it still didn't adjust to the correct minimum bid.

Secondly, in the addon itself, in the settings, the scroll bar for minimum bid will only allow you to scroll to 1000 and not further, and even if you type in, say, 5000...it doesn't actually save, and it is the same way with the minimum bid increment.  That will allow you to scroll to 500 but it does not save.  The minimum bid and minimum bid increment just revert back to 300 bid, 100 increment.  Is there any setting I am missing?

Yes, I agree that the GUI for the per-item settings should be made more obvious. I'll do something about that. You mentioned Lua errors - could you provide them? (Use pastebin.com or similar, please.)

As for the range, both starting bid and minimum increment are defined as "soft capped" - if you enter an amount larger than shown by the slider and hit the enter key, it should save properly.

And just to make sure, you did hit the Enter key to confirm your minimum bid/increment input in the per-item dialog? The escape key will discard your input without saving it.

When I click on the per-item settings button, it just comes up with a grey box with no options to add items.

I have one more question, when someone bids on loot it has the urge to announce the highest bidder, It's a lot of raid chat spam and was wondering if there was a way to stop it from doing so? Example: http://vvcap.net/db/3nB6m5zktGOiBjdYn81o.htp

Sadly, it's needed as a notification to other clients using GDKPd.

You can, however, hide these messages (and most others) in GDKPd's "Appearance Options" configuration tab - that way, they will only appear to players who need them (ones without GDKPd).

Is there a way to change the bidding format? It is a bit of a hassle to link the item everytime you need to bid.

  • #87
You can disable multi-bidding - that way only a gold amount is required, but you will only be able to auction items one after another.

thank you very much for the assistance, keep up the good work!

"Allow multiple simultanous auctions" - it should be under the "Behaviour options" tab.

I'm sorry but I don't see this option.
