About GearHUD
This addon simulates the GoW(Gears of War) combat indicator,
to let you easily make sense of your HP.
GearHUD is now dragable and resizable!
- '/gearhud' or '/gh' to lock/unlock - '/gearhud' or '/gh reset' to reset to default - right click the resize handler to lock.
Ever played the "epic" EPIC's game <Gears of War>? The bloody skull health indicator really makes some sense. And this addon simulates it in World of Warcraft!
There are four level of different texture, see the screen shots.
There is no options to config. If you want to modify the thresh hold or the position, you have to edit the GearHud.lua:
GEAR_HUD_THRESH_HOLD = { 60, 40, 25, 10, 0 }; --health percentage
GEAR_HUD_OFFSET = {0, 130} --position offset to screen center
Not much to say, just enjoy it!
Note : This addon itself is totally free. But the texture "GEAR_HUD.tga" is derived from EPIC game - <Gears of War>, you use it on your own risk.

GEAR_HUD_OFFSET = {0, 130} --position offset to screen center
Change the x/y values +/- whatever you want. 0,0 is the center.
I don't logon curse quite often, sorry for such a delay of reply.
First it's rather stable. I have been using it since patch 2.0, and never did I modify any code.
Secondly, it provides more visual indication than hp bar. The effect is between the fullscreen glow and a small bar or number -- not too shinning but you will never miss it.
I have played MT/healer/dpser, I always have this addon actived, at most time, it displays nothing.
