About Geist

Geist provides a twenty-five button action bar that displays under the mouse cursor at a keypress for quick and convenient access. Geist includes Masque support for button skinning.

How to use: Bind a key to Geist using the keybinding interface in the menu. Geist will display whenever that key is pressed with the mouse over the center button.

Be sure to enable out of date addons to load this version of Geist on the live client until Mists of Pandaria is released.

Thanks for the reply, Cidrei. I was able to fix it by editing the SavedVariables file. It took about 60 seconds - just had to know where to look.

Thanks again for producing and maintaining such a great mod!

im having a problom with finding this after installing this with curse cliant plz help

Care to be more specific than that? Finding it in what context?

I seem to be having trouble with this mod - When I open it, it uses the icons already showing on my screen [a smattering of icons from the right bar and bottom bar that are available by Blizzard in the interface menu]. However, this only occurs on one character - my druid. I figure it has something to do with how the default bars work with shapeshifting, is there any way to fix this?
  • #197
You can reassign the keys that Geist uses through the assign command. You can look at the commands by typing /geist in game or looking at commands.txt in the addon folder. Druids are one of those cases where I had to fudge it with the bars to try and find something that worked.

Can't you bind keys to the button anymore?
  • #193
Keybinds are in the default bindings menu.
  • #194
And where is that exactly. I cant find any menu other than /geist and all I get are some bs options. No real physical menu if there is supposed to be any at all. Please let me know how this works. Its pissing me off i've been doing this for about an hour now.

Bindings. Addons tend to be near the bottom in sort of alphabetical order.

Wonderful addon. I use it for all my non-combat buttons (food, buffs, profession, so on). But, because of this, I don't really need the buttons to change when I change specs. Would you be willing (when you have time) to add an option to turn be able to turn that functionality off?

    Thank you!
  • #191
I don't think I can prevent that, actually. Geist uses the default action button template, and when you change specs it changes all the buttons automatically. The best you can do is copy the same actions back into the same places.

OMG an update to one of my FAV addons. Thanks.

Using the newest version, and I can't find the option to assign Geist to a keybind in the /command interface, could someone please help me to do it? Thanks in advance!
  • #188
It's in the default keybinding interface.
  • #184
Whatever key you bind to geist make sure it is not in the SnowfallKeypress list. I removed the key with all modifiers and it works for me.
