Sooo ...
Now that we're back to sequential access only ...
Wouldn't you reconsider using Merge Sort ?
** Nag Nag Nag **
Guild bank sort not working (as already stated by others).
Can't get version 4.1 to work with wow version 4.3.
use 4.1 until 4.3 comes out.
4.2 contains optimizations which blizzard made obsolete
Any status update on when this will be fixed? I use this addon a lot.
I have to second this notion, there's no other bag addon I use than this one, and it's frustrating to see that this is getting little to no updates. Any way we can help?
Genie dosn't work on guild-bank please fix it, i love this addon so much!
it seems there is a bug with moving items into and out of the bank at the moment, if you try to do it quickly, the bank stops registering your clicks. Perhaps this has something to do with why genie doesnt work with gbank sorting at the moment.
Guild bank sorting has stopped working for me this week. I've tried disabling all other addons, reinstalling the addon, wiping out the saved variables and cache etc. I'm not getting any lua errors.
Basically when I hit the button to sort the guild bank, it moves 4-5 items, then seems to hang. I can tell it to stop, hit it again, and it'll move 4-5 more items, and then stop. I can repeat until the tab is sorted, but it takes forever.
Any thoughts?
edit: I should mention this happens under all sorting algorithms, and that bag and regular bank sorting are working without issue.

Thanks! Looks like the original reporter nailed it, much better description than mine. I'll keep an eye on that page instead. :)
Say, how about replacing InsertionSort, which nobody in her right mind should use :D, with MergeSort ?
That algorithm, created by Von Neumann, was found to be very efficient on cranky devices - which WoW server ofter are.
What would be the advantages and the drawbacks in a WoW environment, taking constrained memory, sluggish connexion, and server lag into account ?
Merge sort - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merge_sort
within wow simply use the alghorithm that uses less swaps.
Couldn't it be a good idea ?
Pretty please -^_^-
