The GoingPrice_Allakhazam addon uses the LibExtraTip library to display various statistics from Allakhazam -- http://wow.allakhazam.com
This addon should update quite frequently -- about once a week.

Release versions take the form of 4.0.xxxxxxxxxx where the '4.0' part is the version of the Wow interface supported and the 'xxxxxxxxxx' part is the date (in seconds from epoch) that the latest price was pulled from Allakhazam.com

Allakhazam and Thottbot websites now use Wowhead data. Look's like it's all Wowhead for now.
I think it's time for me to start thinking about my own data collection addon ... maybe call it GoingPrice_Neikos

That aside, thank you for going-price. I think the utility has been ruined, since allakhazam has dropped their amazing auction hall stats (and wowhead's are frankly never accurate), but thank you just the same.
Please change that one line so we don't have to edit it manually all the time?
I found the problem.
At first I thought it was a problem with the curse client.
But noooooo!
It was aaaall me!
The release branch of my subversion repository at curse had the wrong LibGoingPrice version. As you found out for yourself, the release version of GoingPrice_Allakhazam had version 2 for LibGoingPrice in its heirarchy -- meant for the beta versions of GoingPrice addons. I fixed this mistake (wholly made on my part). Hopefully, the next version of GoingPrice_Allakhazam will work for you and all others.

Are you using the curse client to get GoingPrice_Allakhazam?
Also, can you try downloading from http://www.goingpriceaddon.com/download to see if that works. That will tell me whether it's a curse problem or a GoingPrice bug.
Remember ... don't mix beta with non-beta if you're using GoingPrice_Wowhead as well. That is, GoingPrice_Allakhazam and GoingPrice_Wowhead should both be release (non-beta) or they should both be beta.

I uninstalled it in the Curse Client, and downloaded it from http://www.goingpriceaddon.com/download as you suggested. It works fine now, so it must be a curse problem.

Here's my reply:
Okay.
I uninstalled all (both) GoingPrice addons from my computer.
I installed the curse client.
I then installed all (both) GoingPrice addons via the curse client and viola! Only GoingPrice_Wowhead works and not GoingPrice_Allakhazam
So I reproduced your problem.
It looks like the curse client is trying to be smart with the way it's handling libraries. It seems to want to load my latest LibGoingPrice library version 2 -- meant for the beta of GoingPrice addons -- and not version 1 -- meant for the release of GoingPrice addons.
Workaround: (for now) Install the beta versions of the GoingPrice addons
From the curse client:
1. Uninstall all GoingPrice addons.
2. Go to Tools | Options and click the "Games & Addons" tab.
3. In the lower half of the dialog choose "Beta" for the release preference.
4. Click the "Done" button to dismiss the dialog.
5. Click the "Get More Addons" button to install GoingPrice addons again (this time the betas will be showing up)
6. Install the beta versions of the GoingPrice addons.
7. Go back to Tools | Options ... "Game & Addons" tab and change your release preference back to "Release"
It looks like the "beta"ness and "release"ness of individual addons are only affected by the above Options when you install them anew. Hence the reason you have to un-install the GoingPrice addons, change the release preference to "Beta", and then re-install them anew (via the "Get More Addons" button).
If my understanding is correct, subsequent updates to your addons will honour their current "beta" or "release" state. So that all release versions of your addons will be updated with new "release" versions and all "beta" versions of your addons will be updated with new "beta" versions.

Me and all my toons at WoW give you our best regards, it's amazing that you managed to make an update. Hope that it continues to have regular updates like before and ZAM change his view of your addon, because it only realize the good service they do with the prices of items at their site and... damn! it makes advertising of their site at the game! They really get profit of it making them more known at WoW community IMHO.
