This addon should update quite frequently -- about once a night.

Release versions take the form of 5.0.xxxxxxxxxx where the '5.0' part is the version of the Wow interface supported and the 'xxxxxxxxxx' part is the date (in seconds from epoch) that the latest price was pulled from wowhead.com

    Evanyssa,

    I tested both release and beta and both versions seem to work fine. Are you sure you hit 'Apply' after checking the 'Load Anyway' checkbox.

    Can you tell me which other addon's you're running? Try disabling all but GoingPrice_Wowhead just to make sure no other addon conflicts with it. If there's a conflict with any other addon, I'd like to know.

    BTW. Tomorrow's upload should be updated to the 4.3 patch.

    I'm confused... just because I keep seeing this updated... does this addon actually work? Earlier comments make it sound like it doesn't.

    yep it work work.. he has to update it everyday so it work's right.
    if wowhead would help him.. it would be alot easier for this add-on to work as the way it's should.. but they made it so he has to go to every page everyday just to get his add-on up to date.. it's the way wowhead code there page's

    There is already a TUJ addon but it doesn't work as well with auctionator as Goingprice does.

    ^^^This^^^ is a really good suggestion that deserves a second read.

    The data in TUJ (The Undermine Journal) has sufficient credibility now that many of the top gold earners (those that have hit cap on more than one toon) are respecting the continuing maturity of the product.

    TUJ has their own plugin and there may be synergy potential worth exploring. I agree that their plugin does not work as well with auctionator as Goingprice does!

    From a qualitative perspective, Wowhead is myopic and old school [backhanded]. TUJ is the unrivaled source for market data that has profit potential.

    I tab out to wowhead all the time to see going price. This mod is a brilliant idea. Thank you, even tho it apparently doesn't work. Kind of makes me wonder why Lightheaded is able to retrieve comments from their site and you can't retrieve prices. Hmmm. Must be a coding thing.

    Wondered why you still keep doing this addon when wowhead won't let you update it with current info. I stopped sending my game info to wowhead because of the way they handled this. Why should I give them my info when they do this kind of stuff.

    Hi Fesinmd,

    A: I need the practice.

    The main part of the addon(s) is the LibGoingPrice library which I wrote to handle ANY source of data. If you give it data in the right format, it will display it in the tooltip and automagically generate an options UI for that data -- where you can pick and choose what stats you want to see and its color etc ..

    In theory, you can send your data to me in addition to Wowhead perhaps.

    Another path I'm going to take is to write a data collecting addon of my own and somehow urge gamers like yourself to upload the data it collects to my site where I would simply dump it into the LibGoingPrice library which would generate the GoingPrice_Neikos addon, say.

    In any case, GoingPrice is not going to die. Think of this as the calm before the storm.

    This add-on doesn't seem to have any data on basic Cataclysm items. Embersilk Cloth, Volatile elements, etc. I've had it running for a few days and it still hasn't pulled down any data on these items.
