About Guild Lottery
Description:
This is an addon that lets you set up a guild lottery. The info such as price per ticket the amount of money in the lottery are up to you.
There has been talk about whether or not a Lottery addon is allowed according to blizz EULA, I hope the following link (a blizzard link) will put to rest the debate.

TLDR: If it's private, (ie within guild) it's ok, but you cannot advertise for it in public.
Warning:
Blizz does not save session data until you log off, so if you add a bunch of tickets to someone, and your wow crashes, you WILL lose the data.. It's a Blizz Issue I'm afraid, so make sure if you add tickets, don't go 10 hours without logging, just to be safe!

Since people obviously can't read.. THIS ADDON BREAKS NO RULES ON THE US SERVERS, here's the definitive proof https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/in-game-casinos it is however against the rules in Europe, any misleading comments will be deleted
i love your addon and my guild has been having fun with it, as i run it for fun not fundraising :) one question i have is, can i change how the ticket numbers are spammed to the buyer? currently i have it set to 1g a ticket and 1000 tickets max and that ends up being a lot of spam :P is there a coding way to send them just the range of tickets, instead of every single ticket number? i only run guaranteed wins.

hi just wonna say love the addon me and my guild having alot of fun with it, i have edit it a lil but come to a problem i hope you can help me with , its with the spam lottery message , i have gone into lua and deleted the 3rd line that says for more info go to guild website but the 3rd line now say info_lotteryspam_line3 but i deleted the hole line , i have done this before a few months ago and didnt have same problem. hope you can point out what im doing wrong :)
Do i have to put the gold that it's sent to me in the guild bank? or from where the addon sends the money to the winner? (guild bank or my character)
The addon doesn't send the money, you do that part manually :-).. So you can put the money in the GB, or keep it on your character.. Whichever is easier for you (GB is usually better so you don't accidentally spend it)
can we only do one lottery at a time with this addon? id like to do more then one lottery a high stakes and a low stakes but cant seem to make 2 lotteries as well as the raffles
Yeah the addon can only handle one lottery at a time, though it can do 1 lottery and 1 raffle at a time :-) Changing it for multiple lotteries would require way too much refactoring of the code :-)
Good morning ... will you be updating this addon? I seem to be getting errors from it in 5.2
What sort of errors are you getting? I sometimes get an error while fighting but don't quite understand why as the function that it says is throwing the error isn't called by guild lottery, annoying.
How do I modify or edit the message that goes out to the guild when I click spam guild.
i just downloaded it and curse says its out of date and plus i have typed in everything you said and cant get lottery or raffle window to pop up please help. i have typed in guild chat lottery "lottery" /glot toggle and all i get it unknown command
You have to check load out of date addons if you already didnt
i already did and still it says its out of date i really like this idea and would like to use it for my guild if anyone could help it would be appreciated
i just started using this addon and love it but i dont understand the second roll. it is at 20%. does that mean there is a 20% chance to roll again or the second roll gets 20%? thanks. did this last night and didnt get second roll. and also it gets stuck on checking mail. i will have like 2 things in mail for it and it will scan and add but then it gets stuck and i have to do a reload ui. all this is with patch 5.2. thanks you again
Hey there used to be a slash command that let you change things like the "Guild Spam" message I want to change the message make it a bit less spammy and as we have no website i want to take out the guild website part. does that still exist if so whats the /command?
