About Hear Kitty
Hear Kitty plays soothing and distinct orchestral sounds as you gain and spend your combat resources. It's like having your own theme music! You'll hear tones as you gain combo points or stacks of your buffs, and when you hear the final note played, you'll know it's time for a finishing move. Never watch for little red dots or buff stacks again!
These classes and specs work with Hear Kitty:
- Druids (in cat form): combo points
- Rogues: combo points
- Enhancement shamans: Maelstrom Weapon charges
- Elemental shamans: Lightning Shield charges
- Paladins: holy power
- Discipline priests: Evangelism stacks
- Shadow priests: Shadow Orb stacks
- Marksmanship hunters: Ready, Set, Aim... and Fire! stacks
- Unholy death knights: Shadow Infusion stacks on your ghoul and when Dark Transformation ends
- Destruction warlocks: burning embers
- Monks: chi
- Arcane mages: arcane charges
- Vehicles with combo points (such as the drakes in Eye of Eternity)

Hear Kitty official sound packs
These sound packs for Hear Kitty provide new sound effects so you can better customize Hear Kitty to your liking.
Version 1.5.1
Fixed a bug where Hear Kitty would play extra sounds for shadow priests if they had previously been discipline spec.
Version 1.5
All Hear Kitty features, classes, and specs should now work for German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Russian players. Those languages also include a machine-translated UI. Some Hear Kitty features (but not all classes and specs) will work in other languages.
If you have any suggestions or corrections to the existing machine translations, or would like to translate Hear Kitty into a different language, please let me know!
Added support for arcane mages (Arcane Charge stacks).
Changed the way that holy power and chi work: previously Hear Kitty would not play a sound when spending only 1 of those resources, since it can't tell the difference between a resource that was spent and one that expired. That behavior was weird for Tiger Palm, which costs 1 chi and is used frequently. The new behavior is that Hear Kitty will continue to play sounds when 1 chi is lost if you're in combat, or if it was your last chi, but not if you're out of combat and you still have some chi left. This behavior should be more pleasant and predictable.
Hear Kitty will no longer play sounds for gaining and losing holy power, chi, and shadow orbs when your level is too low to use those resources.
Hear Kitty will no longer play sounds during the preparation phase of a battleground or arena.
Fixed a bug where Hear Kitty would play sounds even when its sounds were disabled for classes other than druid and rogue.

Hi! Actually, it already does; I just didn't have paladins listed in the description. Fixed!
Hiya,
Glad to see you found some solutions to the BG prep time problem for Monks and the spending of Tiger Palm. In reading the change notes, the in-combat solution seems pretty good, but I thought I should make you aware of a few things that might pose some trouble even to this solution. Especially since you said you don't typically play monks.
1. chi never degrades while in combat. If you've got it, and you're fighting something (or stuck in combat) you keep it!
2. Tiger Palm has some special additional mechanics that cause it to NOT spend chi. Windwalkers get a proc that makes the next TP chi-free. And Brewmasters have a passive that makes it NEVER cost chi.
I don't know a thing about Mistweavers.
Hope these provide helpful insights, just in case. Looking forward to checking out the changes! And thanks again for the addon! :)
I did get a chance to level a windwalker monk for a while, but I haven't done anything with mistweaver or brewmaster.
1. That's my main reasoning behind the new changes. Since your chi won't degrade in combat, if you lost 1 chi, Hear Kitty can assume that you spent it, so it'll play a sound. If you're out of combat, you probably didn't spend it, so it doesn't play a sound. (It'll still play the "zero" sound when you run out of chi while wandering around the world after your last fight.)
2. Good to know. In those cases Hear Kitty will behave the same way it does for all other classes and specs, and won't play any sounds if no resources are spent.
Let me know what you think of the new changes and if there are any other things that you think could use some work!
New in-combat changes are working great! Defnitely makes a difference and is much smoother feeling and sounding. I haven't been in a BG yet though, so I still need to check that out. Thanks a bunch and keep up the great work and service to our community! :)
Love this addon... one concern is when going from Disc to Shadow, the sounds aren't working correctly forcing a /reload
Every time I get a shadow orb, it places the correct sound, but it also plays a sound like I'm consuming all charges each time as well (they play on top of each other). This happens even if I consume any remaining stacks before switching to shadow.
Works fine on Shadow to Disc and of course my other classes
This is fixed in Hear Kitty 1.5.1. Enjoy!
Thanks for the report! I'll take a look.
Have you ever thought about tracking blood tap stacks for Death Knights?
Hi! Thanks for the suggestion; I hadn't given any consideration to that. There's a technical limitation preventing that right now—Hear Kitty doesn't have a way to track two things for the same player, but an unholy death knight could have stacks for both her ghoul and Blood Tap. Also that would probably be confusing so I'd have to decide how the two spells should interact. But I'll keep it in mind for the future.
Can the add Arcane mages with their Arcane charge stacks?
Hi! I'm planning on taking a look at arcane mages soon. Thanks for the suggestion!
Love, love, love this addon. I suffer latency issues and in arena I found I lost too much time searching enemy bars for my lost combo points when my latency prevented my finishing moves (feral kitty) from reaching my target. With two simple sound cues I can now know for certain where they're at and make sure my finishing moves go off and guarantee my next heal, cyclone, etc. So simple, so useful! Will reccommend.Thank you.
<3 Glad you like it!
Haha, I made a Curse account just to post that cause it has helped me that much. <3
Okay, I found what Blizzard changed in 5.1 that made Hear Kitty not work for monks anymore, and I made the appropriate changes for Hear Kitty 1.4.3, which I've posted and should show up here shortly. Enjoy!
