About I Hear You Whisper
Description:
I Hear You Whisper plays a sound when you receive Whisper message. This is a light weight addon and no configuration is necessary, just install and forget about it. This addon is useful if you are constantly losing important messages in the often massively spammed general and trade chats, or if you are in battle and don't want to miss any messages.
Improvements:
There are several addons in the I Hear You family. You can pick and choose which combination of sounds you want played. Here is the list:
- I Hear You Raid - Plays a sound when you receive a raid message
- I Hear You Real ID - Plays sound on Real ID messages only
- I Hear You Real ID Conversation - Plays a sound when someone speaks in a Real ID Conversation
- I Hear You Guild - Plays sound on guild messages only
- I Hear You Whisper - This Page - Plays sound on whisper messages only
- I Hear You Party - Plays sound on party/group messages only
- I Hear You All - ( Has all sounds above) - Notice: Do not install any other "I Hear You" packs if you have this one, or else you may get double sounds.

I haven't tested it, but I believe I hear the whisper sound when a level 1 who is blocked from whispering me by Badboy addon that it also triggers a whisper sound. Other than that I like this addon.
Great addon. saves many missed whispers.
I have done it before, but forgot how I did it.
I want to add 'Trigger' words to what triggers this addon.
I already have "ty", and "thanks"

do you know how I can turn up the volume of the whisper without affecting other volumes?
You can increase the volume by editing the whisper.mp3 file in a sound editor. Unfortunately that is the only way that wont affect the other sounds. There are free audio editors if you search on google.
1. Open up I_Hear_You_Whisper.lua
2.Change add ', MASTER' after "Interface\\AddOns\\I_Hear_You_Whisper\\whisper.mp3". The whole line should look like:
PlaySoundFile("Interface\\AddOns\\I_Hear_You_Whisper\\whisper.mp3", MASTER)
This fix should work for any addon. Just locate the 'PlaySoundFile' line, then add a ', MASTER' at the end of the parenthesis like we just did there. There might be something there already, ie PlaySoundFIle(sound, normal) or something. Backup the lua just in case, and change whatever is after the comma to MASTER.
I really miss this AddOn!
