About IgnoreGuild
IgnoreGuild allows you to ignore one or more guilds without manually adding each person to your (all too brief) ignore list. IgnoreGuild does not use the built in ignore list, it keeps a list of people in the ignored guild(s) internally and removes any chat channel, say, whisper, and yell messages from those people. The list of people in the ignored guild(s) is updated every time you see a loading screen (after logging in, hearthing, changing continents, etc...) so the list of players will always be up to date. The list of ignored guilds/players is shared across all players on your account.
Commands:
- /ignoreguild add guild name - ignores all players in <guild name>
- /ignoreguild remove guild name - stops ignoring players in <guild name>
- /ignoreguild addp player - ignores the specified player
- /ignoreguild removep player - removes player from the ignore list
- /ignoreguild update - refresh the list of ignored players for all currently ignored guilds
- /ignoreguild list - show the currently ignored guilds and number of characters ignored per guild
/ig can also be used as a shortcut for the /ignoreguild command.
Now updated for 4.2; have fun.

So, is that the end of this addon?
Can we expect to see an update to this addon in 4.3? Am all for this concept and addon. My only disapointed has been at the realization that the addon hasn't worked in 4.2 (atleast for me it hasn't) despite the update specifically for 4.2 back in August.
To say the least, I'd be absoloutly thrilled if you devoted some of your time into this for 4.3- I'm sure many would be incredibly grateful for it; as it really is a one of a kind and potentially, an incredibly useful addon.
Many Thanks - Awaiting User.
Hi,
i will update the AddOn for 4.3 in the next days. If it doesn´t work for someone could you please post the errors or a description of what is not working here, pls.
That would be very helpfull for me.
Any update on your Progress available?
@Post 24 "Ah - thanks, I appreciate it! Take as much time as you need :) Seeing this addon working will be worth the wait :P
Update:
@DecodeTheNet
The LUA Error occures if the /who window is opend then you start a /ig add or /ig update request. It also happens if you start a second add or update request before another add or update request has been finished. I look how to solve this.
@Ravenei
i tried the AddOn on a new and clean WoW Installation. Your right it doesn´t work (at the moment).
I look for the Problem in the next few days. I think it has somethig todo with a global variable call but im not sure. Please be patient.
Hi,
first of all thats really strange, because for me it works.
@DecodeTheNet:
the libWho error you receive is strange, because it is the newest Version of the lib and it works in SpamMeNot, WIM ect. but i will take a look if i do something that the other AddOns don´t do with it.
@Ravenei (& all others)
I take a look at this but i need some time an some friends to test it. Normally a /reload should enougth to update the List.
Could you please take a look in your WoW/WTF/Account/"Accountname"/SavedVariables/IgnoreGuild.lua if the players you like to ignore are written in.
A list of the AddOns you use would also be nice. :)
P.S.: Sorry for any mistakes but i´m not a native english speaker. :)
The problem is the outdated WhoLib.
Ok- so basically the problem has been for me, that it simply doesn't work- it isn't removing the players text from chat (atleast whispers). Unfortunately, I'm not recieving any type of error messages to give to you- I do however, have my process.
After installing the addon I would test the following process:
1. Log in pick a non-real ID friend, check what guild there in /guildignore add Example
2. I would then remove them from friends list and ask them to whisper me within 30 seconds of me logging back in (as I considered relogging might be required to get it to work?)
3. I'd log out- then log back in (without closing wow- although I have tested that too with the 4.2 version.)
4. They whisper me, I recieve the whisper.
5. I double check as to whether or not I added the correct guild using /ignoreguild list - I did indeed type the information correctly.
6. I ask them to whisper me again within 30 seconds of the next time I log in.
7. I log back out and disable IgnoreMore, BadBoy and BadBoy_Level_Filters incase they may be interffering.
8. I log back in and quickly recieve his whisper. I wonder why the addon isn't removing his text from chat :( I sob bitterly...

Any idea's based on that as to why it's not working? Need more information? Just ask ^_^ would love to see this working
"1x IgnoreGuild\IgnoreGuild.lua:126: attempt to index global 'players' (a nil value)
LibWho-2.0-112 (IgnoreGuild):624: in function `RaiseCallback'
LibWho-2.0-112 (IgnoreGuild):569: in function `ReturnWho'
LibWho-2.0-112 (IgnoreGuild):905: in function `ProcessWhoResults'
LibWho-2.0-112 (IgnoreGuild):894: in function `?'
LibWho-2.0-112 (IgnoreGuild):915: in function "
So I fixed it!
Follow these instructions and it'll work again perfectly:
1.) Download and extract the AddOn
2.) Enter the AddOn folder and then enter the Libs folder.
3.) Delete all three of the libs currently in there (folders) - you don't need them.
4.) Download http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/callbackhandler.aspx and extract it in to the Libs folder of GuildIgnore.
5.) Download http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/wholib.aspx and extact it in to the Libs folder of GuildIgnore.
6.) Finally copy the entire GuildIgnore folder over to your WoW AddOns directory and you're good to go!
Sorry you actually have to "do stuff" and some may not want to be bothered but I know personally I've been wanting this functionality for years and now I finally have it so for me it was worth the little effort I had to make to fix it :-)
Hope this helps someone! =)
