Description

Ingela's Rapture is a lightweight and highly configurable addon that gives you a cooldown bar for the internal cooldown of Rapture.

Why?

When Cataclysm came with new talents and increased spell-costs, the tools to regenerate mana becomes a lot more valuable. With the talent Strength of Soul and casting Heal, you cannot throw a shield every time the Weakend Soul is off, thinking you will procc rapture. This addon helps you out so you can time it correctly and gain as much mana as possible from this talent, making this a simple yet great tool to help you reach better performance in both raids and heroics.

In game commands are /rap or /rapture

    Well i tried every where in dungens, with random mobs and in raids, even turned off all my addons but this Bar never showed , yes i know have to wait for shield to get dispelled or obsorved but this isnt happening for me and just wasted mt time on this.

    Try typing /rap or /rapture in game, then press "Run bar" button. If this doesn't work and no window comes up, there's a big chance you haven't installed the addon correctly. Make sure it's in your addons folder and things like that.

    Unfortunately I can't do anything about you wasting your own time. Nobody else has reported any errors and/or that it's not working, there seems to be something on your side that's wrong.

    Contact me again if you still have problems after doing these things.

    Maybe you could provide statistics on rapture usage and uptime? When I run low on mana on a particular boss attempt, I often would like to know if and when I could have improved my rapture utilization to avoid that, so some detailed feedback would be nice. Average uptime (of the ICD), wasted mana (over 100%), wasted potential mana (based on uptime and 100%), possibly even a timing table on some kind of detailed view (looks something like 0:06, 3215 wasted; 0:20, 0:33, 0:48)

    Basically something like the world of logs expression editor with spell = "Rapture" and sourceName = "Sotanaht" in-game as the detailed view, and a quick summary in the chat frame of uptime/effectiveness/effective loss

    Sorry for no response in such a long time, but better late than never;

    This is a really good idea. If I was still playing, I'd be coding this right now. Since I don't play, I have a hard time testing this, so I probably won't be doing this in any near future. I do though have a plan on updating the addon soon. Depending on how much code comes out of my fingers, I might do this, very small chance.

    Hi!

    LOVE THIS ADDON!

    We have a priest who got their 4pc, is there any way this addon could track Cauterizing Flame as well? Would be nice to have one addon for these internal CDs. CF cd would be nice to make sure we cast it on melee/tank for best effectiveness.

    Thank you. I'm sorry though, I've thought of expanding the addon but adding more spells wouldn't make it Ingela's "rapture", so to say. So I'm afraid that's never going to happen... at least not for a very long time. Also please check your inbox, I've sent you a PM.

    Just installed this add on and it is not working for me I disabled all other add-ons to see if there was a conflict, but it is still not working. I can run the test fine but when I cast shield nothing happens.

    This add-on isn't working correctly for me since I updated to the new 4.2 version; The bar, the sound and the text notification all work, with one new addition: it informs me "Test Ready Now" whenever Rapture procs.

    That... sounds strange? I don't have anything called "Test Ready Now" in the addon. Try typing /rap and make a new profile see if that works. If that doesn't work I have no other explanation than that there's some other addon messing with it. If you can try disable some other addons and see if it then gets resolved.

    If you get it to finally work, please tell me what caused it and I can see if I can come up with a fix.

    You were indeed correct; Cooldown Timers3 (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/cdt3.aspx)was causing the problem. I used it mainly to track my Penance cooldown(it displayed a cooldown bar for Penance VERY similar to yours)

    Perhaps this is something you might consider in your add-on; the coding must be similar, and it would be a handy feature :-)

    Wouldn't be Ingela's "Rapture" with a penance cooldown in it, now would it? :) I can guess that addon also uses LibCandybar and that library can act a little strange some times. I will do some testing see if it's on my side. Thanks for reporting =)

    love the addon. However, i cannot stand the sound it makes. To put that another way, I love the fact it plays a sound when rapture is off c/d so I can focus on other situational awareness things, the one it plays is however driving me batty. Any chance I can just replace it with an mp3 or something from Mik scrolling battle text?
