OnClick now provides a pressed and released variable you can check for.

if pressed then
  -- do mouse down actions
elseif released then
  -- do mouse up actions

This means your script will get called twice when someone clicks the panel.

    I have been having an issue in that I am unable to make the panels I create stay exactly where I put them. They always seem to move a couple pixels in one direction or another and tend to change size by a couple of pixels sometimes as well. This can be very frustrating. Any ideas as to why this might happen? I don't have this issue with any other addon.

    This addon still has major issues. I'm trying to create a bottom texture that consists of 4 panels, yet after reloading, only 3 of them get shown, the forth vanished. when I create a 5. panel, only 1+2 get shown, 3-5 do not. I got it working *somehow* with 5 panels, from which 4 got shown. Another problem was, that OnLoad would get called for panel 1,2 and 4, but not for 3, although all of them had the exact same code. seems pretty random to me

    I can't reliably make a panel show up. Not trying to do anything fancy - just a simple flat background. When I create a new panel, nothing appears on screen. I've tried various combinations of parents/anchors (UIParent, ChatFrame1, etc), various sizes and offsets, etc. A couple times a panel appeared briefly but disappeared on next change. My guess is something is either causing the panel to be hidden, or moved offscreen.

    Could someone post instructions for a "hello world" that puts up a simple panel in the middle of the screen? I want to see if I can make that work, or if possibly there's a conflict with other mods, etc.

    I seen to struggle in exporting my eepanels2 layout into kgpanels.

    Anybody got any tips or suggestions so I can copy my layout into this new version please?

    I have 1 issue and 1 question:

    Whenever I try to parent any frame to my target the frame goes off the screen...

    Does anyone here know what is the name of the Chat frame?

    I'm having exactly the same problem:

    I've set PitBullUnitFrame3 & 4 (target & tot) for the panels and they seem to work for a while. As soon as I relog they don't seem to appear again anywhere.

    Hey, just a suggestion, maybe put a little note in the description of eePanels directing people to this one instead of the fan mod eePanels2? Just a thought to maybe get your hits back up; not everyone reads comments. =)

    Does this add on do simple textures, like gradient from black to transparent?

    I'm still using eePanels2, it works fine, but not with the new Cartographer. I can update all my addons but that one and it works. I don't want any special textures, just a simple gradient.

    Where are the already limited backgrounds,like in eepanels?

    I do not believe so. They are two different addons, and unless they were coded the same they most likely won't be compatible.

    /kgpanles won't work if it's not in the options. Some people are having issues with downloading it manually/automatically through the curseclient that it's not adding to the addon's list but it is in the addons folder and working properly just as any other addon. I have tried both ways on a x64 machine and it don't work. I have no clue what to do so I have just not used it. Any info would be appreciated.

    could be the 64-bit? i dunno, i just updated my whole ui yesterday and re-downloaded everything and it works fine
