About Lancelot

This addon will equip a lance if you attempt to use a Argent Tournament mount (including those inside ToC), and re-equip your weapons when you dismount and leave combat.

  • Dismounts if currently mounted
  • Restores original mount after dismounting from the tournament mount

New features in v1.1

  • Will attempt to equip and mount in a single click (success may depend on latency and game performance)
  • A button to manually unequip the lance if you're stuck in combat (3.3 API change prevents automatic equipment changes in combat)
  • A spammable button for the Get Kraken! daily quest that intelligently picks your target and fires the spear
  • A warning for when your mount's shield is about to expire

    Contrary to what was posted below I often found myself auto-equipping a lance when mouse-over a mount. Other times the lance never equipped itself (often because the group entered combat before I could mount up) or it was equipping itself randomly when entering instances.

    I like the changes you made going from version 1.02 to 1.1; the Lua code looks much better constructed. ;)

    Nice addon but when I click on an Argent Tournament Mount I get an error message that my lance is not equipped before the addon equips my lance, and then I have to click a second time to mount.

    Dismounting works great, when I dismount my previous weapon is reequipped.

    Yeah that's how it's supposed to work at the moment. I'm considering adding the option to equip the lance when you mouseover a mount, so you only need to click once.

    No, no, no! PLEASE no!! Not on mouse over!! Never do any *action* on mouse over, this takes control away from the player.

    lol don't worry, I don't like mouseover either. I'll add it as an option, if at all.

    Since when does outfitter dismounts for you or remount?

    Big thumbs up for making this addon. =) Especially nice for those that don't want the big addons but instead just the ones that give them the functionality they are looking for.

    When I wrote this, Outfitter didn't handle the multiple lance types (Argent/Alliance/Horde Lance) and also wasn't working for the mount inside ToC. Looks like that's all fixed in the latest version though. I think it still has problems for Titan's Grip warriors.

    I had plans on making this a generic helper for the Tournament Dailies but might make that a different addon.
