About LFRtools

This addon scans automaticly the raid or party, and assigns roles based on their specialization. When you are not an officer or in LFR a warning message will be printed to the group.

A (silent) manual scan can be initiated by running the macro: '/run LFRtools.scanGroup()'

This addon has no menu or options.

Shortened text messages. Changed author name to 'Gizel', as this is the account who manages this on Curse. Fixed 'LFRtools: None of queued in range' spam-loop. Fixed a few 'nil' errors. Now processes the whole group when joining a LFR group. Shows no more queue status messages.

    Any idea if there's a similar addon but with configurable options? it's starting to get on my nerves, i'd like to be able to disable it sometimes without reloading the entire interface

    that's it.. i'm uninstalling it.... had enough of the lua errors it throws during combat.

    Message: Note: AddOn LFRtools attempted to call a protected function (UnitSetRole()) during combat lockdown.
    Debug:
       [C]: UnitSetRole()
       LFRtools\LFRtools.lua:102: inspect()
       LFRtools\LFRtools.lua:31:

    Great addon , got a few feature requests though, could you make it toggle on and off , so you r not spamming , or at least and option to report them? also could you report who pulls the boss and how if there not marked as the tank.

    lfr tools implies that it is for lfr. this is not the case, it functions in normals mode raids as well. with no options i can't turn it on or off except through logging out. an amusing mod for lfr, but too annoying to keep if thats the only way to turn it off.

    Love the addon but would really like the ability to turn it off without relogging as despite the general agreement it's a useful addon I`m sometimes accused of spamming and "told" to turn it off (which I would prolly refuse to do anyway). Some sort of button or options menu. As I generally vote kick the person and add him / her to ignore too it would be nice for the options to have these automated by the addon. These "special" people are generally dps queing as healers in order to knock a few minutes off the wait time for LFRs - even though as of today they get to choose loot specialisation. It's amazing how many arguments this causes in chat - so many people see no wrong in this lame "cheating" despite the case put forward that if everyone queued as healers and dps'd we'd get nowhere.

    I ran into a case where I can see being able to control the name and shame would come in handy.  We downed the boss and one of the healers changed their spec to dps to use their coin.  The addon did it's announcing thing and it caused a delay because people thought that they had healed as dps, instead of that they changed just for the coin roll.

    Hmm, not seeing the mod in my list of addons even though Curse says its installed...

    nitewolfetx,

    That is possible but defeats the name & shame purpose of the addon that I intended.
    The goal is to alert the group and initiate a votekick if necessary.

    Please do it anyway.  There are times where it's best handled quietly with whispers.

    Perhaps supress spam during loot timer?  I saw someone switch to coin offspec, then switched back and forth to the troll the addon user. (The offspec coin issue should be fixed in 5.3 I believe, which comes out this week)

    I'll see what I can do, time to play with Addon-options in the Addon-menu.

     Oh i understand but would just like more control over when it does it.

    Say like right before a boss fight.

    So  i would see so and so is specced wrong for their role for myself and if they do not change by the time we get to the boss then name and shame them.

     Could this possibly be modified so you could not have it spam the raid and just set  the message to the user?
