About Loremaster Collector

Loremaster Collector

This is a companion addon for Loremaster. It is designed to collect in-game quest data for use with the Loremaster addon, thereby building up its database and improving its accuracy.

Please note this addon will only gather information for Mists of Pandaria expansion quests.

What exactly is collected?

This addon gathers accepted quest details, some achievement criteria info, your class, race and faction, your locale, your player guid and nothing else. Your player's GUID identifies your specific character, but does not give any account specific information. Please see below if you would prefer to exclude this. You are encouraged to send your Saved Variables file for Loremaster Collector on a regular basis to: LoremasterAddon@gmail.com

Your Saved Variables can be found in your game folder under:

  • World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\YourAccountName\SavedVariables\LoremasterCollector.lua

This is a text file and can be opened with Notepad if you want to check what is being sent before you send it. No personally identifiable information is included other than your player's guid which is only collected as a means of acknowledging receipt of your file. You may remove the guid if you are not happy about it being used.

Please feel free to use this same email address to notify of which quests belong to which storylines as this is very difficult to capture programmatically. Or submit a ticket.

Once submitted, the data will be added to the next Loremaster release for all to use.

Updates

It is strongly recommended that you update this addon whenever an update becomes available. The Curse Client is an excellent tool to keep on top of all your addon updates.
