About LoseControl

LoseControl makes it easy to see the duration of crowd control spells by displaying them in a dedicated icon onscreen.

Features:

  • Displays duration of all CC spells and abilities on your player, pet, target, focus, party, and arena enemy frames.
  • Automatically displays the most important buffs/debuffs first.
  • Integrates directly with Blizzard unit frames.

    Hi! Wondering why the CC on party members is wrong? I don't understand how to fix it, wrong as in say my shaman get cycloned well it would say the druid is cycloned and not shaman even though i have if in the correct spots? If that makes sense

    Hello I see SUF support is on the to do list but for the time the support isn't there, I was wondering if you could add frame strata options to Lose Control. I don't know if this is a general supported lua thing in WoW or something, but I notice in other addons frame strata HIGH helps me to put things in the foreground.

    The reason I'm asking this is because when I drag the Lose Control party icons to my SUF party frames, the Lose Control party icons are not visible because they are under SUF party frames while for example when I create textures in Weak Auras and put the strata on HIGH, they are visible when I put them ontop of SUF frames.

    Additionally is there a way to just disable the spiral wheel and just show the icon and the timer from OmniCC? The problem seems to originate from the Spiral Wheel Timer Counter.

    If you disable the spiral then it wouldn't be a cooldown timer and OmniCC wouldn't trigger. At that point you would probably want to look at addons like PortraitTimers/PhotoRobot (not sure if those are still updated).

    You can make the cooldown spiral invisible doing a SetAlpha(0) in the cooldown frame, and the OmniCC timer will trigger equally.

    Thank you so much for your time and for your reply.

    Yes, I have tried PhotoRobot.  Believe it or not, PhotoRobot displayes the CC and other things perfectly, within the circle with no spiral and just a timer.  It just seems to be "Broken" for the Arena Frames even though the description says it works with them.  It works for Player, Target and Focus.

    Maybe the author of PhotoRobot can be contacted or the code viewed to see how they did that implementation (they probably avoided the spiral for the same reason we are seeing here and made their own Timer for that purpose). 

    To the people reading these comments.  Lose Control is an OUTSTANDING addon and I love it. It works absolutely flawlessly in regards to the functionality - my comments are simply asthetics and personal preferences and WISH there was a way to clean up the implementation of the "CC Icon and CC Timer" in those Portrait Frames as PhotoRobot has.

    Hi, something I noticed on the target frame when I am CC'ing something the icons show perfectly right when I start the CC.  However once the timer bar starts moving, the duration starts to show as a square outside the circle portrait.  Is there a way to keep the timers circular?  This happens on Arena Frames also and Im trying to keep default UI but want to have cc durations.

    This is because Blizzard's cooldown spirals are square. I would have to apply a circular alpha mask to the spiral but I've never really had time to figure out how to do it.
