About LoseControl
LoseControl makes it easy to see the duration of crowd control spells by displaying them in a dedicated icon onscreen.
Features:
- Displays duration of all CC spells and abilities on your player, pet, target, focus, party, and arena enemy frames.
- Automatically displays the most important buffs/debuffs first.
- Integrates directly with Blizzard unit frames.
- Icons can be moved, resized, and made transparent.
- Compatible with OmniCC.
New in 5.3:
- Added Ring of Peace [Monk]
- Added Hand of Protection [Paladin]
- Fixed Storm Bolt [Warrior]
- Added SyncFrames support
Known issues:
- Unlocking frames does not show arena enemy frames if they are anchored to Blizzard frames (because they don't exist unless you're in an arena).
To Do:
- Options profiles.
- Button skinning.
- Improve OmniCC support to work with all strata levels.
- Blizzard raid frame support.
- Pitbull support.
- SUF support.

That Storm Bolt is a PvE version of the spell, correct? I can add it to the "PvE" category.
I will add Hand of Protection to the "Other" category, since it is not a CC immunity.
I assume that spellId for Ring of Peace is not the actual debuff you get when you are disarmed or silenced. Those are the spellIds that you will need.
Thanks for the help,
there's also the disarm effect "Disarmed": http://www.wowhead.com/spell=137461
Thanks for clarifying the spells for me. As far as I know there is no way to get the spell effects from in game using the API. WowDB likely gets its information from datamining the MPQ files.
No,
http://www.wowdb.com/spells/132169-storm-bolt
is the stun debuff on a target, if a warrior use its t6 talent. Its not pve, its for pvp.
And
http://www.wowdb.com/spells/140023-ring-of-peace
is the debuff, if a enemy stand in the ring of a monk. The monk self has the buff
http://www.wowdb.com/spells/116844-ring-of-peace
and
http://www.wowdb.com/spells/137460-silenced
is the silence you get, after casting a harmfull spell in the ring.
PS: Can you get the effect type of a buff or debuff ingame, like wowdb gets its data? I dont know how wowdb gets its effect type data, maybe its not possible ingame, i dont know, but for example:
http://www.wowdb.com/spells/1715-hamstring
has effect type
Decrease Run SpeedMechanic: snared
Amount: 50%
How they get this data?
PPS: I think its better for all, if you work together with
http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/gladiatorlossa
please update this great addon :P
Thank for this addon, its great.
Can you please make difference between the following:
stun immun
snare/root immun
stun
physical immun
?
Hi. Love the addon, would appreciate if you made it so that the Arena Enemy icons could be made invisible during battlegrounds as well. i have them unhooked from the arena frames, and BGs like Temple of Kotmogu and the FC maps use the arena frames to display enemies now, so it's a similar issue where if you aren't using arena frames, you still get displays of the CC they are under without the context of who its on (gladius is not visible during a BG)
Added in the latest version, please test and let me know if it's not working. Thanks,
Seems to work great, thanks!
I'm having issues adjusting the size of icons for party members. no matter how big I set it the size remain the same.
I completely love LC, its amazing. I just recently started healing, so dispellable cc tracking is something I am having issues with tracking with the basic wow ui. LC was working perfectly while using the wow raid frames, I had them placed over the frames so that the cc would appear right on top, making it impossible to miss. However, even with the keep groups together, I'm running into issues with it rearranging the party in arenas.
I use suf for all of my other bars, and I know you are working on supporting it, but I don't want so much support for it, as a way to put the squares over it. I stopped using the wow raid frames and changed the suf party frames to look like the wow raid frames. I now am running into the issue of suf being pulled the the front of the screen, where LC is farther back, making it impossible for me to sit the squares over top the frames. Is there any way to make that possible. I have searched everywhere and can't seem to find an answer. Thanks for any help with this issue.
Thank you for the quick response Kouri, I thought it might be a little more complicated then I thought.
I think the problem with changing the frame strata to be higher than the SUF frames is that it will break the cooldown count and/or spiral. It's been a while since I've messed with it so my memory is a little fuzzy, but that's why that feature was removed previously and I never got it working. It would probably be easier to just add support for SUF but that would take some time.
I think the party frames not matching up with the raid frames can be solved by adding support for raid icons. It's on my to-do list but I don't know when I'll have time to work on that.
Hi, first of all thank you for this wonderful addon, I am a random battleground enthusiast who has been using LC for the past 1+ years.
It seems Blizzard employees also think highly of LC, as they have apparently added a loss of control feature to the official UI. I can only hope that before they made the decision to do this, someone at Blizzard at least had the courtesy to send you, the addon author, a personalized letter of thanks or ask for your opinion on this inclusion.
The reality is that Blizzard benefits financially from authors like you donate their free time to invent great new features (like LC) and code polished addons that demonstrate their value. While they are perfectly within their rights to make whatever changes they wish without thanking or consulting addon authors (and I understand their legal department may discourage them from thanking authors for fear any direct acknowledgement of their work could be used as ammunition in an intellectual property lawsuit), for Blizzard to duplicate LoseControl's features (without any acknowledgement of the original author) should make any wow subscriber or potential addon author ask themselves if they want to incentivize such treatment by continuing to donate their time or paying subscription fees to the game.
To the real point of my post: Would it be possible to update the addon description to include a section contrasting the features/benefits of LoseControl with those in the default UI? I would imagine that's probably the number one question people who use this addon will have now.
I'm hopeful there's still a place for LoseControl since Blizzard is notoriously slow/bad at polish and frequency of updates to their default UI features. Thank you.
Thanks for the suggestions. I agree it could use a description update as well as some new screenshots.
