About Magic Runes
Addon Support Statement
Hello everyone. I'm no longer actively playing World of Warcraft (and haven't for many months). I'm looking for someone to take over maintenance of my addons. If you're interested, and have at least one released addon, send me a message at neotron+curse@gmail.com
Addon Description
Magic Runes is a set of bars displaying rune cooldowns. It's meant as either a replacement or addition to the normal Blizzard rune display. For discussion please refer to the following forum thread:

Help localize Magic Runes
Changes in 1.0.89:
- Now works on the 4.3 PTR. Note if you install libraries separately, you need to use the alpha version of LibBars-1.0 currently.
Changes in 1.0.80:
- Core: Added color settings for the timer text and text label (separately).
- Core: Added dot bars for Unholy Blight (off by default) and Scarlet Fever (on by default).
- Core: Changed runic bar default color to match Blizzard runic power bar colors.
- Core: Fix issue with max runic power not being updated correctly.
Changes in 1.0.75:
- Fix for Blizzard rune bars reappearing when exiting a vehicle (not hiding correctly on first login).
Changes in 1.0.73:
- Toc bump for 4.0.1
Changes in 1.0.71:
- Config: Separated modules from the main configuration to make it clear that they are separate. Note that some settings are still inherited (while others are not). I plan to move the "core" Magic Runes addon to a module sometime in the near future.
- RuneBars: Added option to hide icons.
- RuneBars: Added option to arrange bar in a grid (1x6 to 6x1).
- RuneBars: Added presets for various layouts.
- Core: Actually added the Punished rune icons by Lichborne - the option to use them was there but it seems I forgot to actually add the icons.
- RuneBars: Fix an issue where the rune bars would move from their intended position on load.
- Fixed bug when changing rune icon style with the bars hidden.

update this plz
I can't seem to get the disease bars to work. They're just constantly full, always showing and yellow..
Great addon, but it seems colors aren't working atm. Also, I'd like to see individual flashing and alpha settings for each bar. Right I'm unable to set my Blood Plague bar to remain visible when the disease falls off. And when it falls off, I would like the bar to start flashing until I reapply BP. If this is already possible, please let me know how to set it up that way, otherwise I am unable to find the option in the current build.
Edit: I had to log out and back in for the colors to take effect.
what i need to do for use it if i dont have curse client?
get the curse client only way I was able to update it to the beta version for sure
Not working since the patch today. Please help dhedbor! I can't play my dk without your amazing mod.
edit: tried playing without magic runes. It's not gonna happen. Please help!
The beta version works fine for me on live, if you're using Curse client to update, be sure to right click the addon and select preffered release: Beta
Sweet got it working. Thanks snoutmate. One question tho, how do I get rid of the little red lines next to my runes. It's just a thin red line next to every one that I didn't have before. Thanks in advance
Hey guys. I've uploaded a beta version that's MOP ready. Give it a whirl. Thanks.
thanks a lot! Worked very nice!
This mod can be fixed for beta use by changing the following -
line 243 in \AddOns\MagicRunes\MagicRunes.lua:
CacheSpellInfo("UNHOLYBLIGHT", 49194)
The spell id has changed. The new spell id (for MoP only!) is 115989.
Update the line to:
CacheSpellInfo("UNHOLYBLIGHT", 115989)
save, and you should be all set. Once again, this is for beta use only. You can do a search for this line if using notepad since you don't have line numbers.
Yea, even with that fix i couldnt get magic runes to work with mop beta
I have tried this solution, but I still cannot get Magic Runes to work on Beta.
Unholy Blight and Scarlet Fever are, from what I can see, no longer mob debuffs, so both should be removed. I'll be checking in fixed versions as Alpha relatively shortly (as a sidenote, I keep crashing the client when trying to debug which is a bit annoying).
Hello. I know the creator no longer plays the game, but if anyone could answer my question I would be most grateful: I've recently been fiddling around with the bars and have ended up in a situation where runes that are refreshing appear faded and only become fully opaque when ready.
Although it's purely cosmetic, I would really appreciate if anyone could tell me how to switch this off- I want my runes to show clearly when they refresh.
