About ManaWarning

Overview

ManaWarning is an addon that gives a warning every now and then when you reach a certain level of Mana during combat. A similar warning is given when you reach a certain level of Health. The threshold to give a warning can be modified and set in percentages.

It also gives a warning in either party or raid chat whenever you’re going OOM (default 10% of mana pool).

For both Mana and OOM messages, high-level potions, objects and abilities are checked for Cooldown, and a given estimate in seconds is given for when which pot/ability is (again) available.

Configuration

There is a configuration screen available in the WoW interface-addons section.

is a very useful addon, I just want to be updated because there are still errors. I hope update
    thanks

Can you tell me what kind of errors you're getting?

    Hello!

I can't get this to work with Bigwigs. In normal/heroic 5-mans I get a raid warning style message but in 10 man with Bigwigs the raid warning message doesn't display (just a tiny line in the chat frame).

Is it possible to get around this?

    Thanks

Gave ManaWarning v3.0 a try on a test character here (level 15 Paladin). Seems reasonable, but one part of it doesn't work at all.

Set the "OOM" option threshold to 15%. Set the "Need Mana" option threshold to 30%. Cast Seal of Righteousness on myself continually. The "OOM" text warning (at 15%) always occurred properly. But the "Need Mana" warning (at 30%) _never_ happened on five different tests from full mana.

    Hi,

ManaWarning only actually bothers you with a warning when you can do something about your situation - meaning a way to get some more mana like a mana potion or ability that restores mana (currently implemented are: Innervate, Evocation, Shadowfiend, Hymn of Hope). In the configuration there's also the option to not check for potions if you're not in a raid.

I also have not added any of the lower level potions, so for lower level characters this addon isn't really suited. It was made with an aim to help on doing max-level instancing and raiding.

For some reason the OOM message still occurs in battlegrounds like Tol Barad, I will have to look into that...
  • #18
    fixed,
    also added new potions
  • #14
I added the Mythical Mana Potion (http://www.wowhead.com/item=57192) in the lua file but it doesn't work ingame, I just don't know why. Could you update the mod for the new cata-items ?
  • #15
The Mythical mana potion should already have been added in the last version. I'm guessing however it won't suggest it either because of the new setting "Only check potions in raid" or because you have another ability (Innervate, evocation, mana tide, etc) that thrumps the use of potions.

For testing I disabled that function but I will reinstall and clear saveds.
  • #10
Maybe an option to hide if you are in a pvp-zone or disable pots there. Sorry^^
  • #11
sorry for the delay, will be implementing that soon, thanks

Using it for a while now and can say that I really love the addon, simple and great. And your support is awesome.

    Another Feature request:
Option to show the low-mana warning only a few times if no cooldown is ready. I use only a few seconds delay not to miss it but if you used your cooldowns there is no much to do. The oom-warning should still be there of course.
  • #13
I think what I added in 2.8 is what you meant... But I'm not sure, so give it a whirl and let me know.
  • #7
No errors and works fine now, thanks.

Just one thing which would be cool, support for the raidsymbols in the text. For example {rt1} for the staricon, {rt8} for skull etc
