About Mapster

Mapster is a very simple world map enhacement addon, which was designed to work in conjunction with all other map addons out there. The idea to create Mapster originated from pure lack of a simplistic addon that only modifies the world map, without adding a full scale feature set.

You can access the Mapster configuration menu through the new button on the world map, as shown in the screenshot. All features (except the style) can be turned off individually if you do not need/want them.

    When using Mapster, is anyone else noticing an additional set of corrdinates at the top of the map? They are off center, at the same height as the words "Map & Quest log" but and not lined up with the size of the new map. Turning off coordinates doesn't make it go away, either.

    It is possible it could be another addon potentially doing this, but thought I'd post this here just in case!

    When i click on quest log to use the quest item i get this error:

    If i reload before that the error wil not come out and i can use the quest item w/o any problem but if i have loading screen, e.g. use portal, even after the reload i will get the error again and the item cant be used anymore until next time i do reload. This is ofc only when i use the quest item from the quest log, using the item from my bags it will work without any problem or error.

    More than one person has reported an issue with setting raid markers... as in you can not do them unless Mapster is first disabled. Another odd instance popped up today... doing the Hallow's End quest to douse the flames in Undercity. I flew in to the top of the wall behind the big Wickerman, then dropped down on top of him. Went to use the "bucket" I got with the quest and boom, up comes the dialog about needing to disable Mapster to do it. At least NOW, it can be re-enabled without having to log out of the game. Might be an idea to have it on a list of things needing fixing at some point.

    Even if you can't make Mapster back like it used to be, if you can make it so I can have the map and achievement window open at the same time, I'll be eternally greatful!

    How does having 2 windows open at once make no sense??? Also, you used to be able to do it, but since the new patch the map closes whenever any other window opens (talk to an npc for example)

    Would it be possible to display the Bonus Objective locations in Draenor for each zone? That would help a lot before even starting a zone.

    YES PLEASE! I can't stand what Blizzard did to the quest log and map, Why the hell would they merge the two? Please add a function to completely remove the quest log attachment... I can't stand even seeing the little button when its collapsed.

    If at all possible, I'd love a way to get the map to scale appropriately to fullscreen the way it used to. Adjusting the scale manually in Mapster's options gets it close, but it's not as wide, and the text is all oversized, giving the entire thing a fuzzy, out-of-focus appearance.

    Saw on Curse Client there was a new version which returns Mapster functionality with the new patch. EXCEPT there is an issue. Hit L to look at the Quest Log to find it is NOT a separate entity like it used to be, it's integrated with the Blizz map function... and this is a mess with Mapster running.

    And while you're looking at this issue, it MAY be real nice to be able to move the entire map around the screen so one can size AND place it where one wants.

    Oh, and happy you're looking after this baby, I sure appreciate it!

    This is not an issue with mapster at all this is the new integrated map/questlog that blizzard created.  This is why M/L are the same thing.  It is possible there will be no way to separate them because every other map mod has the same thing.
