Description:

MSBT is designed to be an extremely lightweight, efficient, and highly configurable mod that makes it easier to see combat information by scrolling the information on the screen in separate, dynamically creatable scroll areas. It is a replacement for Blizzard's Floating Combat Text and Damage output.

Features:

  • Lightweight and efficient design.
  • Scroll incoming damage/heals, outgoing damage/heals, and notifications in separate configurable scroll areas on the playing field.
  • Display player and pet cooldown completion alerts.
  • Display loot alerts with a total of how many are now in inventory.
  • Add triggers that will allow you to show notifications based on a variety of conditions.
  • Assign a sound file to play for events/triggers.
  • Dynamically create new scroll areas and assign any event/trigger to them.
  • Customize the position, size, animation style, enabled state, font style, font size, font outline, and opacity for each of the scroll areas.
  • Customize each individual event's color, font style, font size, font outline, opacity, output message, enabled state, and scroll area.
  • Set "Master Font" settings that will be inherited by all of the scroll areas and the events in them unless they are overridden at the scroll area or event level.
  • Merge AoE data into one event with cumulative damage/healing done with number of normal and crits specified.
  • Show overhealing amounts against yourself or party/raid members.
  • Color unit names according to their class.
  • Color damage amounts according to damage type.
  • Show partial effects (resists, absorbs, vulnerabilities, etc) colored according to type.
  • Filter output information with a full suite of spam controls.
  • Load on demand options.

    Hmm, seems I can't edit my post. Anyway, just realized the Hunter auto shot is considered as "skill" (well tbh it is in the spellbook, marksmanship tab) and therefore is rightfully counted as "yellow damage". The melee damage is in General tab so it differs a bit.

    So I'm not sure if my suggestion below could be added to the addon.

    Autoshot has always been a strange animal in that regard. It is considered as a spell (skill) by WoW in most regards, yet many players think of it as "white" damage. Some people want it displayed in white, others want it in yellow. The issue is that it can't be both melee and a skill at once.

    Skill Suppressions list and then create a trigger that looks specifically for autoshot damage from you. You can then customize that trigger however you want (color, output format and scroll area, etc).

    However it seems that there's no option for ranged damage, only melee (in "event" section). At least Hunters would appreciate if normal white ranged damage would also be configurable to its own scroll area :)

    Also, I was wondering if I could do something like it is in the picture(MSBT In Action), only incoming have heals on the left side instead of damage. Then would I be able to have my Crits (if it records them) be in the middle? I'd throw Damage in probably farther on the left or something, but that's beside the point. Would what I said early be possible?

    Yes, MSBT shows crits as zooming in and shaking by default, but everything can be changed. As far as repositioning, you can create any number of "scroll areas," move them wherever you want, change their animation style, behavior, and speed, alter the font settings for all events in that area, etc. Then you can redirect each event type to whatever scroll areas you want.

    Ok, since I am sort off out of IDEAS.

    Can someone tell me how can u disable "xxx ability Ready Soon " ? It is not under events most likely and I have not found it in triggers or neither anywhere else.

    If anyone going to answer that ,please make it step by step.

    MSBT does not display "XXX Ready Soon" by default. It only displays "XXX Ready Now!". What you are seeing must be coming from another AddOn. My guess is some type of cooldown pulse type of AddOn?

    1) This is a reasonable request as I would think one can assume a heal with no displayed source was their own.

    2) I'm very unlikely to add this. One of the core features of MSBT is the merging mechanics to prevent the incredible spam that is generated otherwise and also has the benefit of increasing performance. That said, there is an option to exclude specific skills from being merged on the spam control tab (merge exclusions) for changing this behavior on one or two skills.

    3) Agreed. The ability for finer grained control over which events the suppressions apply to is already on my list of stuff to get to.

    2. I want a GLOBAL option that disables throttling on BOTH white attacks and skills. This means if I hit 10 enemies then I want to see 10 texts, not [x10 hits].

    For this point, would it be possible to get it to work the other way around? I find it annoying to get hit by plasma blast and see 38k (2 hits) I'd rather see 19k and a second later see another 19k dmg.

    Hey, great Addon thanks for but, but i have a little problem, the outgoing part works fine but my dmg will also show in the upper part, sorry i dont no the right english word. so i see my dmg twice, but i cant see anything where i can close this i the upperpart i only want to see this in the outgoing part, i hope u understand my problem :)

    It sounds like you need to disable the built-in game damage. Go to your interface options (Escape menu) and select the combat text tab. There are checkboxes there to disable the default game damage and FCT.
