Description:

MSBT is designed to be an extremely lightweight, efficient, and highly configurable mod that makes it easier to see combat information by scrolling the information on the screen in separate, dynamically creatable scroll areas. It is a replacement for Blizzard's Floating Combat Text and Damage output.

Features:

  • Lightweight and efficient design.
  • Scroll incoming damage/heals, outgoing damage/heals, and notifications in separate configurable scroll areas on the playing field.
  • Display player and pet cooldown completion alerts.
  • Display loot alerts with a total of how many are now in inventory.
  • Add triggers that will allow you to show notifications based on a variety of conditions.
  • Assign a sound file to play for events/triggers.
  • Dynamically create new scroll areas and assign any event/trigger to them.
  • Customize the position, size, animation style, enabled state, font style, font size, font outline, and opacity for each of the scroll areas.

    WoW crashes when setting "Normal outline" to "Monochrome". It seems to reproduce with any master font chosen.

    You say you're creating an updated version/new release of MSBT, Correct? Will this fix the bug with the sounds not playing as well?

    Whenever pressing them on my MSBT Interface Sounds/Triggers it will not work. All sounds are on. The files are playable in the sound folder, and work perfectly.

    Just the issue is whenever using them for test or actual combat, They will not load.

    Otherwise everything seems to be working fine. You did say earlier that blizzard could be blocking it. Could it be the UI?

    Either way, Ever since downloading this update it has not been working. I've also downloaded multiple times to make sure it wasn't just me being stupid... lol

    Take your time for the new update though, I'd rather have it take a month if that means it'll work to the best of it's ability. :D

    Operating System is Windows 7/HP;Intel

    Blizzard removed support for external mp3s from the game, so if you're trying to play mp3s, that is your issue.  The only format the game supports now is .ogg.

    pozzyx: I saw your response.  The North American WoW client doesn't have access to the Italian language pack, so I can't test it out myself to see what's going on.  That said, looking at your screenshots and the information you gave me about the global variables, I see no reason why it shouldn't work.

    Since I don't have access to the Italian client, I'm going to need you help with modifying the files to add some debug prints track things down.  I'll mesage you.

    Hello Mik,

    I have looked through the comments for anyone seeing a similiar problem as I have and could not find anything. I have noticed that when I take damage, it shows up twice when I have an absorb effect on myself. Once as 0 <0 Absorbed> (This one is always zero) and again as Absorb! <664>. 

    After playing around with the settings I isolated the event for the zero line as the "Skill Hits" event. Disabling this removes the zero line, however it also removes any lines where I took skill damage without my absorb on. I have uploaded a picture describing what I have seen. I have disabled all other addons besides MSBT and the effect is the same. Any recommendations?

    Not really sure. That is clearly the built in game floating combat text though.  Maybe reenable the entry in the game interface options it, /reload, disable it /reload  to make sure it toggles?

    Hey man,

    really like MSBT, thanks for the good work!

    I just have one point that is really irritating - in the "Spam control" section, if i want to get rid of those small numbers something like <1k i can't do it, because if i pull it to the right, to adjust a number there is still the old dmg numbers something like 50k and so on - so i can't place it to 1k, because it's too precise for those huge numbers - would be great if you could fix it soon, because i am enhancer and those little numbers with something like 200 - 500 ever 0.2 seconds with autohit/leg cloak are really annoying :D
